There is no chillies in this product. Its made with concentrated capsicum. Heat is 9 million scoville....and yes, It is unbelievably hot.

Is the paste sour? Many hot sauces are more sour than hot.

It is NOT a sauce, it is an ingredient. It isn't for consumption in its raw form. Its like eating food colouring or vanilla extract from bottle, you wouldn't do it, so please, if you buy, don't use neat. It is for heating up large quantities of con carne, curry, sauces, temperature hot dishes and suggestion of as little as possible should be adhered to.....
