Does what you need it to do. Build quality is nice. Battery life is sufficient. Nice little light to carry around and quote paint corrections.

Great inspection light
I purchased this mainly to use for swirl inspection at my detail shop. It works as expected and the battery life is very good. I like the two light settings which are light types to view paint and fine line scratches and swirls. Very much a must have for any detailer.

Pleasantly surprised by quality of build and usefullness of PowerSmith 500 Inspection Light
The PowerSmith 500 Inspection Light is really a high quality product. I was very surprised to the upside. This is one of the rare occasions when I feel that I got a great deal. I am using it principally for residential paint jobs to compare different paint finishes under varying lighting conditions and to inspect drywall repairs. So far, it has been tremendously helpful and effective. I can't comment on the battery life as I have not used the device that long, but the build quality is excellent.

The product came nicely packaged and with almost a full charge. I used it on my wife's brand new VW ID4 to inspect paint and sure enough there are tiny scratch marks all over where the dealer washed and dried it. Requires paint correction with a mild abrasive polish. I tried using Chemical Guys cheapo light and could not find 70% of the scratches this light showed right away. Lumens matter. This is cheaper version of Scan Grip inspection light and works great when you are really looking for proper inspection of the paint for things like paint correction which is what I plan to do.
