Great in theory but a nightmare to make!
I bought this toy for my 9 year old son for Christmas as he loves marbles. However it took his father all evening to make it, it has a million tiny pieces and is almost impossible to make. So unless you have a handy man or woman in your home, it is really not a good idea. Yes the end result was great as the marbles move up and around but then it breaks easily, which after such a grand effort means you daren't touch it! Now my husband has re- made it using super glue to hold it in place, and so finally we can enjoy!

This marble run is very difficult to set up and when you eventually do, you spend a long time trying to get the wires in the right position, never got it to work as a marble run should. Shame

DO NOT BUY THIS
It is very simple; trust the reviews here and DO NOT BUY THIS. My son won this and I'm still mad at spending £0 on this.As others have correctly stated the nylon "rails" that the marbles/steel ball bearings are supposed to run down are way way way too stiff. As you try and bend it round the course (using the picture on the box because as others have said the instructions aren't so good), you end up:-Snapping the brittle plastic connectors-Pulling out the poles from the base-Snapping more of the brittle plastic connectors-Snapping at your children for asking if they can send the ball down yet.-Pulling out another pole from the base-Snapping more of the brittle plastic connectorsI seriously don't know how this ever made it past testing from "Cheatwell Games" who manufactured this. I personally will remember that name and have to think long and hard about buying something in the future if it's made by them.See the attached photo to know how it'll actually end up if you managed to not kick it onto the floor. Now if I ever find out who donated this thing to the Cubs Crimbo tombola I was going to hurt/murder them but I think I'll go one worse and I'll find out where they live and leave it on their door step for their kid to find so they have to feel the pain.In case you're still not sure - DO NOT BUY THIS.

bought as a gift
Bought as a gift for grandson whose 8 and is a whizz at building anything but not this, we all have had a go, adults included but to no avail...instructions are dreadful hard to understand and I would not recommend buying this for a child.
