Great grip trainer for the price
Firstly, I am impressed with the quality of this grip trainer. It is well constructed (I would guess it is solid aluminium as it isn't too heavy). The closing action is very smooth although the pivot point is located slightly forward of the inner grip which has the effect of raising the inner gripper a few millimetres as it closes. This feels slightly unnatural, especially if you are used to fixed resistance grippers like captains of crush. But after a few training sessions with it, it is no longer uncomfortable and will probably add a slightly different dimension to my grip training. The grips themselves are lightly knurled but do provide enough friction for dry hands. Chalk may be necessary for heavier closes if your hands sweat. The inner grip does wobble on the frame slightly. This affects the grip setup stage slightly but it doesn't affect the operation of the trainer when it is under tension. The grips are of a smaller diameter than traditional grippers (like the ones I mentioned earlier) but they do give a parallel position at full close which is advantageous. The springs appear to be chromed externally on the visible portions only with the insides of the coil looking dull and uncoated. They do give a steady, silent and strong movement. I am not too worried that they may be poor quality as I understand high quality Ivanko super gripper springs can be bought quite cheaply. The springs are quite easy to move and therefore adjust the resistance. Comparing the documented resistances to fixed resistance grippers this grip strengthener sometimes feels lighter at what should be the same resistance and sometimes it feels heavier. However, I have found that two supposedly identical grippers can give slightly different resistances so this is not a negative reflection on the Valhalla grip strengthener.I would highly recommend this gripper for someone just starting out on training their grip strength or someone like me who is trying to bridge the gap between two fixed grippers. It is not better or worse than fixed grippers but it does have a different feel which can be useful to grip training. And of course, when you consider how versatile and cheap the Valhalla grip strengthener is, it is undeniably great value.I am very happy with the Valhalla grip strengthener!

Very hard gripper!
This gripper is one of the toughest I've ever tried. Just for reference I can close the COC number 2, I can close the Heavy grips 250 (HG 250) and I can close the ivanko super gripper on the 254 lb setting (spring positions 8,10) for probably around 7 reps. But with this gripper, imagining that the settings are same as ivanko super gripper, I can only close the 170lb (spring position 2,10) for 6 reps. So there is a difference of around 90lb in terms of the toughness of this gripper compared to the actual ivanko super gripper. The knurling is very rough though on this gripper but I guess you get used to it. You have to use chalk when using this gripper no doubt. For the price though it is very good value. I go as far as to say there would be literally only a tiny handful of say 100-500 people in the world who could close this gripper on the max setting 345 lb (10,12)

Great design! Great results!
The media could not be loaded. This is super adjustable and will let you progress as far as you want, well to 360 lbs of resistance which is impossible for nearly everybody. You can really feel a burn after a few minutes of this. I have noticed a visible difference in my forearms and hands with more growth and vascularity. It can be slightly uncomfortable with it being made from metal but I feel this design is much easier to control that the metal hand grips are. I've used it a fair bit soo far and there are no signs of wear and tear. You would have to be an animal to break this. Highly recommend to people looking to improve grip strength. Well made - very good value for money
Product is well made and should last a very long time. What I liked most was fact that it was possible to adjust tension from fairly easy to level that would have tested "world's strongest man!" A leaflet explaining how to set up this gripper would have been useful but some helpful guidance in Amazon reviews so no problem there.

Great gripper.
I bought this mainly because I couldn't find the Ivanko version and thought it was worth the risk. The gripper works as it should and as far as I can tell it seems to be accurate in terms of resistance. Comparing this to the CoC grippers is pretty futile due to the different type of function. But as a higher volume training device I like this a lot. The resistance does appear to go up to the stated force too. I have and can close the CoC number 2 and this gripper is harder than that to close. Also you can buy springs from Ivanko should you lose the ones that come with this.

Good range of difficulties, lacks durability
The media could not be loaded. Handles a little rattly but solid knurling, doesn't rattle while you use it so it's okay. The pin however if you have it any way except leaning back just falls out as soon as you loosen your grip, have shown this by having it pin down on the video, shame the frame seems sturdy enoughWill fix the pin in place and carry on using

Poor build quality
Avoid. Bolt fell out and poor-quality material. Get the genuine Ivanko for £30.

It’s me
It’s a real nice piece of equipment. Definitely worth the price. Typically I would get those pocket sized ones but they would break very quickly. Given how high in weight you can go on this one is incredible for progress and overload. Only thing is the gripper itself is a bit rough on the hand and does rip my skin a bit.
