MTM Case-Gard Ammo Can 9mm Combo, 1000 Rounds, Flat Dark Earth

I purchased this to store about 450 rounds of ammunition, three extra magazines, a sidearm (at times), and a large set of ear protection, and a gun lock, and this ammo can hold it all with ease. It is easily accepts a padlock to keep it sealed (two at once if you really wanted) so the security of the case is only limited by the fact that the case is designed to be carried around easily. I can imagine that If I wanted to store the full 1000 rounds or more then I couldn't fit anything else but ammo but for my use this case is perfect. I found that the bullets fit the most securely if they are facing up, flat side on the bottom. That's using both standard range 115gr Luger and 124gr Hollow Point, so while it's not a negative you may find you prefer it that way too since it just feels more secure when the packs of 100 are full if you have them facing up. I've not had circumstance to see if the box is truly water resistant yet but the case does feel robust, like it'd take a good drop with only scratches to show for it. The latch holding the lid closed seems like a good design since there's two parts one has to lift up on before they can open the case. Negative: This case clearly says "9MM AMMO CASE" on the outside which is more obvious then I'd like. The side sticker easily comes off (pretty cleanly too) but the marking saying it's an ammo case is simply part of the physical box, and can only be covered up. IMO it looks somewhat tacky as well, the box is well-designed otherwise.

Well made and easy to organize bulk ammo. Keeps everything neatly organized with the included labels. If you are a reloader or just stockpile bulk ammo this is a great system. The locks are sturdy and the seal should keep ammo nice and dry for long term storage. Great size and stackable with other containers.

The MTM ACC9 Ammo Can & assorted accessories that were included really helped me out. My girlfriend was getting severely annoyed with the amount of ammo I have stored away. I didn't really have a good system for storing it other than packing them away in my closet. Now I can have the ammo I use regularly in a grab-and-go style fashion. I already have a range bag that I spent quite a bit of money on. One thing I don't particularly like about my range bag is the room allotted for ammunition. If I'm going to the range, I'm going to blow through a couple hundred rounds. That's why I really like the MTM ACC9 Ammo can. I can keep a large amount of ammunition with me when I go and I can take quite a few different rounds. The thing I like the most about this is it really wasn't that expensive. There are far more expensive options that you an choose from. This is superior because you can find different caliber boxes at most gun & ammo stores. You're able to pack in the assortment that you want and need. Is this perfect? I'm not sure yet. I've owned this for a few months and really don't have any issues with it. I'll be sure to update the review if something changes. As it stands right now, the quality is amazing for the actual dollar amount paid.

Great ammo can . It's basically like you're getting the can for free because I could not find the ten 100 round box for under fifty bucks. i think it was a good deal im happy with my purchase.

This can is sturdy and very high quality, like all MTM Ammo cans. The 10 cases inside each hold 100 rounds, giving you the 1000 total rounds of storage. I don't really know that these are any more practical than a regular MTM 50 cal ammo can...As those easily store 1000 rounds worth of ammo in "regular" manufacturer boxes. That being said, if you reload your own ammo this option will be super helpful for you. Or, if like me you just want to be a little more organized with your store bought ammo, these are pretty helpful. There is a little room at the top once the 10 internal ammo boxes are full. I was able to squeeze in six 50 round boxes of boxed range ammo, bringing the total storage go this can up to 1300 rounds. All in all, this is an inexpensive, quality ammo can. I expect this thing will last a life time unless I really abuse it, which is unlikely. Perfect for my storage needs. Sturdy units.

I just received the MTM 9MM can combo. It is an excellent product for the price Amazon offers. I will be purchasing MTM ammo cans in the future. First, you get everything pictured. 10 smaller cases, each able to hold 100rds of 9MM or .380 ammo. 10 color coded stickers sheets with 4 color choices (a total color 80 labels) 10 ammo description cards 1 larger can that holds the smaller 10 cases. Second, the product is much better quality than I expected. The smaller cases have a true hinge with a metal rod. There is very little wiggle room for my 9MM ammo within these cases (I cannot speak for .380). The larger case has 2 separate latches and padlock holes. The top handle only folds one way, but is incredibly durable and I doubt it would break, even on a fully loaded can. The larger can has a rubber ring that helps seal it closed, helping control exposure of humidity/moisture to your ammo. I cannot say if its effective as I live in a dry area. The larger can itself is a shade of "Coyote Brown" which is hard to tell from the images. It does have an unappealing "9MM sticker" on the side of the can. The sticker font is horrible and is hard to read as it is brown text on a brown can. I would recommend removing it and spray painting a stencil on the box in your desired color for your caliber.

Excellent. Solid value. Good sturdy cases with a hinge that has a metal pin which will be more rugged in winter than plastic only. I'd buy this again.

Excellent cases, as doctor ordered. Nice to have a additional protective ammo can for this good price.

Durable enough for my needs. Large enough to fit the 10 x 100 round boxes and 10 of my mags in the can comfortably without jamming them in. Double latches is nice and dual rings to add locks should you choose. Overall I am pleased and have purchased more than one. For reloaders this is cheaper than buying the 10 flip top boxes in my area.

Nice cases, came as described. Durable plastic construction, and everything is stackable which is nice. The big case has two heavy duty latches and two lock holes so it can be used for transporting firearms as well. An ok price point but should last for some time. Satisfied.
