Excellent piece of kit
Normally I prefer wired peripherals (no battery) but I bit the bullet on this wireless keyboard/mouse combo. I'm glad I did because it is a quality piece of kit. The keyboard has full-travel keys and has a similar feel to the original OEM keyboard that came with my PC. It has a much smaller footprint (no numeric pad, which I don't use anyway) which frees up some desk space. The keys are slightly narrower and more closely spaced than the OEM keyboard and it's taken my fingers a few days to adjust to the new key positions. The mouse is a comfortable size/shape and moves/responds smoothly. Cursor speed, scrolling and left/right hand can all be adjusted in the PC's mouse settings. The wireless combo version means no trailing wires, especially on the mouse, and it also frees up a USB port. Keyboard and mouse each take one AA battery, with auto on/off to maximise battery life. They function well on rechargeable NiMH batteries (not supplied). I don't yet know what the battery life is but I have a fresh set charged and ready for use. I dislike change so buying something like this is always a gamble for me. However, I'm extremely pleased with this kit and have no regrets about going for it. Perrix appear to have good customer support and replacement dongles are available to buy on their website if required.

What do you do if...
...your keyboard has seen it's life out. You buy a new one although I know of some who'll by a new computer... This compact but very usable keyboard has a pleasant and tactile feel to it. Some may miss the extra numeric keypad but few casual users need the ability to perform financial calculations. Otherwise there is not much to add. The mouse works well and does what is expected for a pointing device. At the price it is a winning combination and if it fails after 12months it is cheap enough to throw out and buy another. For those that query such matter this keyboard is working under Linux on a refurbished computer Acer All-in-one desktop. All in all the combination is a winner and worth the few beer tokens it costs to bring a smile to you face is worth the outlay. This combination worked out of the box with a new Win11 laptop. I've used Perixx keyboards for 16+ years and apart from wearing out the keys and also the switch membrane I have had no problems. Affordable, well engineered and reliable what more do you need?

Compact, but full-sized keys. Excellent.
Finally found a compact, full-sized keys, keyboard which feels high quality (I've tried a good number of dreadfully designed keyboards!). No keypad, but that's fine I never use one. A single AA for each of keyboard and mouse, no on/off switch so just goes into sleep mode. Only time will tell how effective that is, but should be fine. My only gripe is that the feet are slippery so the keyboard slips about. A couple of extra rubber feet solved that problem.

Responsive and easy set up
The keyboard and mouse arrived well packed and secure. Only one dongle required. The plastic feels of a sturdy quality and has rubber stoppers on the base kf the keyboard to stop it slipping. The keyboards keys make this a perfect product to utilise for those that have minor dexterity issues. The stands at the base of the keyboard are fixed well to give a good comfortable typing height for your hands. The mouse, well built. Can be loud on clicking in comparison to other mouse ive used. The mouse has a function whereby it saves batter power when not utilised and a click is needed for the mouse to become active. Both keyboard and mouse are responsive in good time making it easier to get work completed. Overall good value for money for the combined product.

Look no further for your next work keyboard and mouse
This was a great set for work. The mouse has descent precision and a nice, smooth scrolling wheel. The keyboard is more like a compact version of a standard keyboard rather than the Mac slim, thin button design. I really like this - the key depression is softer and easier for me to type quickly with fewer mistakes. Requires a single AA battery in each unit which is much easier to work with (i.e. not having to go AAA for one and AA for the other) tend to last quite a while on a single battery. One thing I have noticed is the tendency for commands to be lost every once in a while (mouse and keyboard but not often) - I can press a key and it won't register and the mouse jitters. HOWEVER, I must say that for one; it's not often and for two; there is a high probability that this is because two of my colleagues on neighbouring desks also have wireless dongle keyboards, which might slightly interfere with my own kit. It is also immediately fixed by pulling the dongle out and reinserting (you may need to use a dock depending on your PC - see below). For users that use the arrow keys for spreadsheets and the like, you'll have to reprogram yourself to not hit the AltGR or CTRL keys which are now packed in close in either side of them. This is not the end of the world, but bear in mind that you can't just automatically adjust unless you're used to this layout. One of the bonuses however is a special function for home and end built into the arrow which makes moving from the start to the end of the document very easy indeed. Final thing, which is NOT down to the kit whatsoever but may affect buyers in a similar situation and please note this was only tested on a work PC with limited access rights. I've just switched work PCs (both laptops) and though I'm still on Windows 7, my new PC is so much better than the old one. The old one would lose the drivers for the dongle if I took it out of the USB port and plugged it back in directly. In the end I had to use a dock, which somehow fixed the issue and I've never had it happen since, so long as it was the dock that I plugged into the USB port. The new PC does not have these issues, works every time direct/dock whatever. I very much doubt this would be an issue on a home PC on which you have admin rights, but I haven't tried to confirm. TL:DR - It's a great solution and I would recommend this to anyone who likes traditional keyboards over the Mac/laptop keyboard experience. Arrived on time and very happy with the seller. Many thanks.

For the money I am yet to find a better all round wireless combo
We now have 2 of these, along with an older Periduo model as well (we have a lot of PCs in the house!). For the money I am yet to find a better all round wireless combo. First off they are good looking - the black with red trim looks sufficiently stylish to sit out in the living room near our home theatre PC. The keyboard itself is compact (again ideal for living room) while still being full size - without number pad obvs. The keys are soft and quiet which I like a lot. , The mouse is quite small and light and the buttons and wheel all have a good feel to them. I have never had an issue with the wireless responsiveness - just bear in mind the usual mouse surface limitations of a standard optical mouse (glass tables/mirrored tops etc). The usb receiver is in the PC in a cabinet and both devices work from the other side of the room. This model has power saving, so no need to switch on and off - hence, believe me, the batteries last a long while. Overall I would say this set is terrific value for money, and in buying a second I've put my money where my mouth is!

Changed layout of keys and misprinted keys! - UPDATED!
I bought this mini-keyboard/mouse combo to replace a similar product from Perixx which was starting to show the ravages of time. I'd been very happy with the older model and wanted to stick with the same brand -just a new model. The mouse is a very basic one, which does all that is required of it with no frills. The 'power-saving' feature is a good idea in principle and should greatly extend the lifetime of the battery.but it does mean that you always have to click on a button to activate it, which takes a bit of getting used to. The keyboard has a different layout to the previous model, which takes a lot of getting used to, especially as they have swapped around some of the keys. The worst example of this is the 'shift' key and the 'up arrow' key. Whenever I press on what I expect to be the 'shift' key, I hit the 'up arrow' and start typing in the middle of the line above! This is infuriating! The worst thing about this keyboard however is something I've never come across before... Two of the keys have misprints on them! The 'colon' key has a semicolon on top and a comma down below where it should have a colon on top and a semi-colon below and the 'commercial at' key has a comma below instead of a quotation mark. This last issue is obviously trivial and the issue with the misprinted colon key does not in any way affect the functionality of the key. But both of these issues suggest a complete lack of quality control at Perixx, which is definitely worrying. As a result of the above, I would not recommend buying this keyboard/mouse combo. Perixx will eventually of course notice the problem with the misprinted keys and sort it out, but until they do, a lot of Amazon customers are going to be very unhappy. Probably best if you are not one of them... Update - 8th of March 2016... Have given an additional star, purely because of the exemplary customer service provided by the seller. They pro-actively contacted me (via comments on this review), apologised for the problem with the keys, refunded me ยฃ3 by way of compensation for having to put up with the incorrectly marked keys and also eventually sent me a new semi-colon/colon key to replace the incorrectly printed one. I cannot give more than 3 stars however as the review refers to the product and not the seller. The product was delivered initially with two incorrectly printed keys. The company's QA processes missed this. One of the keys has now been replaced. The other (with a comma instead of a single quotation mark) has not been replaced and will not be replaced. This is a relatively trivial issue though. There is also an annoying issue with the mouse wheel which causes it to scroll down 2 pages/screens for every click of the wheel. I raised this with the seller but they simply referred me to the mouse setup feature in Windows, which did not fix the problem. I have now found a workaround using the Chromium Wheel Smooth Scroller extension for Chrome, but this solution may not suit everyone. All-in-all this is a decent wireless keyboard/mouse combo for the price. The keyboard has a nice feel & look to it as does the mouse. The seller (Perixx via Amazon) scores top marks for customer service with some deductions for poor Quality Assurance practices in allowing this keyboard to leave their premises with incorrectly printed keys on it. If you are looking for something 'cheap and cheerful', this product will probably fit the bill.
