Great piece of work
The media could not be loaded. My DIY skills are non existent. But in just under 3 hours, I have fully built this clock. It looks brilliant and looks really smart.Using the slide button at the back, you can either run this on batteries or hook it up to USB-c charge (which it doesn't come with). The batteries are cleverly built in the clock and easy slide panel to replace them. It's very quiet when running, but there is a constant ticking sound. You can just about hear it in my video. There were a couple of moments where it is tough to put together, but I think that was because I was scared of breaking it.The only annoying part are the plastic pieces. These are very weak and break very easily. However it does come with additional wood and plastic pieces incase of this scenario.Overall this is great. The price is for both the fun and joy of building, as well as the finished piece.I do worry if you break an important piece at this price though!

Not the easiest to build
I have previously built Ugear kits and this is the first of these I have tried, the wood is much thicker which gives advantages and disadvantages it does to break so easily but getting the precut pieces out of the wood frame takes quite a bit of effort and with the small pieces it is almost impossible to get them out without leaving splinters of wood which need to be cleaned off adding to the time taken to assemble the kit. You find this out almost immediately with the 12 little pieces labelled 9 which is the first thing you have to use. It takes quite a bit of physical effort to press these pieces into the bigger clock frame however you must make sure they are fully in other wise the clock will not work as the hands will not move freely.Later on, not much later there are parts that need greasing which again is critical, a very small piece of "candle" is provided, you will need more, it is in one of the boxes containing clock parts. On page 6 of the instruction book you have to make sure the minute hand moves freely, keep checking this as when you add pieces they could foul the mechanism and taking it apart is not easy, the most critical part is the switch as the main cog for the minute hand has to go through a slot and the switch moves easily and catches on the main cog.I eventually completed it took about the estimated 5 hours but it would have been a lot quicker had the pieces pressed together more easily and did not need trimming. At least it is not going to come apart again so be careful reading the instructions and make sure you don't join anything the wrong way round. An interesting kit but I think I will stick to the Ugear ones.

Extremely well made, would look amazing *IF it worked.
I spent an afternoon making this and totally losing hope with it. The instructions are clear and easy to use, i did everything it said to do and still it didn’t work properly. It was stiff the clock hand didn’t turn and made it a waste of time for me.I am not the type who usually gets something like this but i wanted a challenge and this may of been too much of a challenge but in my opinion its a risk of a lot of money on something that may not work for everyone and to be blunt i don’t see why it is as expensive as it is.For me its a big no, I couldn’t recommend this to anyone.

Avoid!
This kit is simply not worth its massive price tag. It’s not the easiest to build and quite fiddly. The wooden pieces take a bit of effort to push through and that’s almost impossible to do without pulling splinters. The side pieces were a complete nightmare and I ended up having to do some cutting so they would fit.Following all the effort of building the kit I was unable to finish it as some of the clear plastic pieces broke (pictured). I tried to put them on exactly as instructions showed but all of them snapped pretty much straight away. Clock will now be going in the bin. I have built other wooden models and clocks so I do know what I’m doing. One other thing to point out with this kit, the wood absolutely STINKS of fire! Not sure why (assume the colouring?) but it completely reeks to the point my whole living room stank. To sum up I think this kit is 1) Massively over priced 2) Difficult/fiddly to build 3) plastic pieces snap easily 4) it stinks of fire. I therefore do not recommend this product.

A long project for us to build
Wood Trick Modern Kinetic Clock 3D Wooden Puzzle. So, this has taken us a long time to build, mainly because we didn’t give our full attention for long periods. We didn’t rush. It isn’t a speedy thing to do particularly. There are multiple parts to this which need pressing out, a bit of gentle sanding in places and waxing in others to get all the tight fitting parts together. It is a project! However, it is now built and working! Which to be honest is the biggest surprise as we really weren’t convinced that it would all fit. So well done to the good instruction manual and to all the pieces. We don’t do a lot of model building, so this does feel pricey. Definitely for someone who enjoys a challenge and has the patience to complete the build.

Overpriced I feel
Even though this is very well made, I do feel for almost £90, it’s overpriced. It’s actually quite fiddly and I’ve managed to do the bottom after 3 hours. It’s a good size and is well lasered so fits fine without having to glue. Would make a nice gift if it was a more reasonable price. Nice design with working parts, I’m sure this will look great when it’s completed as it’s looking effective already

Lovely… but does it need to be that expensive?
I’m totally intrigued by this. Give yourself plenty of time to make it up, it’s not a fast build. Feels well made and I really like the wood look. It’s a little bigger than I was expecting, but that’s not a bad thing. It makes a nice focal point, and a talking point too. The elephant in the room is the £88.90 price tag… granted it seems well made and is very unusual, but? Maybe they could at least have included the batteries for the price?! Great for self or gifting.
