Bit big for edc but great for bush craft
The knife is very good I mean is amazing The only issue I have with the knife is is big big for an EDC carry and also bit heavy but that is partly my fault too cuz I didn't read the description carefully but is a very good knife and one that will be in my collection forever 5 out of 5

Favorite Model of Kershaw-Emerson Knife Series
I really like the 9k model. It's all black and has a good weight to it. I also like how the wave part of the blade goes into the handle when the knife is fully open.I've been blessed to be able to purchase 4 of the Kershaw-Emerson models when they were on sale. And the CQC-9K will be the model I carry the most because of all the features.I have no doubt it will last a very long time. I'm still amazed that a knife this good was under $50.I like this model so much I bought a couple of extra ones to give to special friends who are a blessing in my life.

It's great to have a good pocket knife again
A few months ago I was at an event with my kids when I realized I had the knife in my pocket, the car was a long walk, kids already complaining about the walk and was forced to throw the knife away. I don't need a knife everyday, but when I do it always sucks to remember that situation. It's good to have this rope cutting, box opening, miscellaneous tool for the job back in pocket.Feels solid and well made. The opening mechanism is tighter than the CQC-8 this is replacing, but I've thought it over and decided that's fine for me. I don't ever need the knife immediately open out of my pocket, and any situations that I can imagine needing it at hand immediately are actually already way out of control. This is just a tool, not a self defense solution. I don't mind it taking two hands to start opening, ok well I kind of mind a little, but I prefer using two hands to open it versus it ever opening on its own in my pocket. It's reasonably sharp out of the box and seems completely good to go, I have no doubt that it would make quick work of a jammed seatbelt, which is the only emergency situation I can come up with for needing it.So it's more than enough for any expected uses. I thought a long time about if I wanted it (yes), needed it (sometimes), or might be in situations where it would be useful (again, yes.) Clearly I would buy it again, although I'm hoping that I remember to leave it in the glovebox whenever the current situation allows attending public performances again.
