Very good quality for the price
For the price, this an excellent buy. It arrived very promptly 2 days after ordering. I was wondering how polyester can be water-proof, but it's PVC coated polyester, so will be water proof (haven't actually had a chance to test it yet, but am confident it will keep out the rain well). I really wanted an EVA raincoat, one of those that come with a bag, mainly for use if I have to go into the garden when it's raining, but I wanted elasticated sleeves. I did't want to spend too much for this purpose and the EVA ones all had really wide cut sleeves that looked like they wouldn't keep the rain out if doing anything with your hands, or only came in one or large size(s). This has elasticated sleeves that sit nice and tight around the wrist. Although this was so cheap, I would happily also wear it when out. It's not exactly a fashion garment, but doesn't look too bad, and would be very useful to carry instead of an umbrella. It comes in an A5-sized zipped display pouch which you could even use to carry it, if you can fold it back up and get it back in there, which I've not tried. I am short at 5" and take a size 10 in tops, and S fits me well. It's not very tight, so can be worn over warmer clothes if necessary, and is quite long on me, coming down to about 10 cms above my ankles. It has a couple of metal stud finished holes under each arm, and a pleat over the top part of the back, which is open on each side (with enough overlap to keep out the rain), so if it's warm, you shouldn't sweat too badly in it. It's very thin, and not lined, so won't keep you warm on its own if its cold. It has two square pockets on the front, fastened with velcro tabs and with a flap to keep the rain out. It closes with a zip and there's a flap over the zip which shuts with plastic stud fasteners. The zip, which is plastic-coated and reasonably sturdy, doesn't go all the way down, only about 3/4s of the length, otherwise, you'd not be able to walk well, due to the length (there are no openings/vents in the back, but it's cut wide enough and opens up far enough at the front to be able walk), but the stud fasteners ensure your legs won't get wet. The hood has (a rather cheap and thin) string to adjust it that has been finished with little plastic bobbles at the ends. It's even got a generous fabric hook sewn into the back to hang it up. Overall, the attention to detail is amazing, am pleasantly surprised at the quality of it. It won't last forever, but for the price, you wouldn't expect it to, but I can imagine it lasting a good few seasons or years, depending on how much it gets used. Only thing is, it can't be washed due to the PVC coating, according to the label, it's wipe clean only, so if worn in warmer weather, it'll probably get a bit smelly before it wears out.. Am very happy with this (considering the price, you can't expect miracles, of course, it's a basic rain garment, cheaply but well made) and would definitely recommend - might even buy another to use instead of a brolly.

... trench coat for the first time and it was great, it kept me dry for the two hours ...
Just back in from taking my dog for her walk in the torrential rain and was wearing my trench coat for the first time and it was great,it kept me dry for the two hours I was out with her.I am a male with 40 inch chest and five foot eight tall and I had ordered the medium size and it is ideal for me but if one likes to have lots of warm clothing underneath then I suggest a larger size. The zip is very robust and the press studs are great and the coat came well down over my wellies to about six inches from my ankle and the hood is a very generous size.So overall this trench coat appears to be a great buy for the price. The only downside to my purchase was it took a long time for such a small parcel to be delivered :-[over 8days] considering I live less than 15 miles from their store.

Great for heavy rain
This is great at keeping you dry but it is surprisingly warm due to the rubber sort of lining inside the coat I’m finding it quite hot to wear at end of September. So perfect for winter but wouldn’t recommend for spring showers absolutely perfect for this very heavy rain we’re getting.Arrived quickly I’m a size 16 so a medium was a perfect loose fit for me if you want something tighter would suggest a smaller size as nice and roomyIt’s got a really good zip and poppers which are super useful when you don’t want to use zip the zip goes down to just above the knees as you couldn’t walk in it otherwisethe pockets are very generous but have no fasteners so if you put a lot in the pockets the contents gets wet in a heavy rain because of the bulging

Well worth buying.
Exactly what need for walking the dogs. Infact I shall be wearing it anytime there is heavy rain as there frequently is in Wales. I am female 5' 2" and petite, the small is a good size for me. The Mac is lightweight and folds up neatly, not something you can put in handbag but easy enough to have in shopping bag. Would recommend.

Perfectly good product
A very nice product. quite sturdy. Good length, my husband is Large and the large was roomy enough. As they were gifts for family that are travelling they were quite heavy, not really suitable for backpacking. It came in a zipped bag, with a polyester back and plastic transparent front, I don't think this would stand up to much wear and tear.

Definitely waterproof
This coat actually looks quite cool. Not worn it in the rain yet but i poured a bottle of water over the sleeve when wearing it and it didnt go through! So definitely waterproof, I read a few reviews that said it came in a zip bag, mine didnt but it didnt claim that either so nothing to complain about really. Length is great because it means your jeans dont get soaked through
