This accessory does exactly what it is designed to do. It's expensive but is a high-quality product which allows you to use old lenses on modern cameras. And there is no alternative

Wanted to use my Minolta MC Lenses with my Sony Alpha 100. This adapter fullfills that need allowing me to use these expensive first rate lenses manually with nearly all of the facilities of this Digital camera. The major drawback is full aperture viewing at all times is not possible. As you stop down to adjust the aperture the light is also restricted to the viewfinder as if using a depth of field preview button. However I knew this limitation before the purchase. Overall this is a solid piece of equipment built to the same standards of Sony/Minolta.

Fitted okay but wanted to use on macro lens unfortunately despite claims to the contrary it proved impossible to remove the glass in the centre andwe gave it away to someone who just needed it for normal use

A much better option, than to rebuild the lens mount.Worked as advertised with my Rokkor 58mm on my A850 and A55, with nice results.There is a small gap moving, if I hold and move the lens, but I guess that's due to the construction of the solution, and it doesn't affect the results, so it's a minor in my book.
