Esschert Design CF48W Wooden Boot Rack,White,41.8 x 26 x 41.9 cm

The Boot Rack was very difficult to put together as all the poles needed to be sanded in order for them to fit in the drilled holes.The picture here & on page where purchased, shows an Oval disc with brand name on it, this was not on the rack I received so it didn't look as expensive, overall functional but disappointing.

It appeared to be just what I wanted., however I had to pay someone to re-drill the holes as they didn't line up.I am disappoionted that I had to do that but I rpreferred that to sending it back.

I loved the look of this rack, and on first appearance it is well made & finished. However, as other reviewers have noted, the poles didn't fit in the holes. I thought that maybe they'd just need a shove and a strong hand, but no they were way out. Shame as this rendered the product totally useless. I returned for a refund and all credit I received this almost immediately.

Very poorly made - the vertical pieces were too large to fit in the holes, and were coated with excess glue and paint. The wood in the holes for the posts was unfinished, and large splinters and bits of wood were sticking out. The pilot holes for the screws were very shoddily done (and it goes without saying that they weren't countersunk). I spent over an hour sanding down all eight posts, and still had to hammer them into position, which obviously distorted the ends of the posts. In the end, the boot rack is functional, but it looks cheap and shoddy. If I'd had proper wood-turning tools I'd have been able to do a better job to get it to fit together properly, but then again, if I'd had the proper tools I could have made a better one from scratch.

The dowels don't fit the holes, and the wood is so soft the screw goes right through, even when I added a washer it goes through the wood. Also it didn't come with the decorative finishing plate as the picture shows. I bought one of the more expensive ones not very long ago and it's worth spending the extra money. I would have been better making my own than buying this. Very Disappointed :-(

Arrived am waiting now for carpenter to erect it as the poles to not fit the base and my drill is not bigger enough, it is not just one but all of them, so depending on the carpenter cost this could turn out to be an expensive purchase

Unless you are prepared to do a bit of carpentry to get this thing together I wouldn't recommend it! A simple design - poles should slot in holes and then are screwed in. Problem is that each pole is far to wide! Clearly not checked before sending out, possibly this was a one off.

Utterly useless. Not all the poles had holes drilled in the bottom to be able to screw them in, but that was not the worst bit. Oh no. None of the 8 poles were actually small enough at the end to fit on the holes drilled in the bottom piece. Meaning it was impossible to assemble! Sending it back. This isn't just a simple manufacturing defect meaning one pole was done wrong. They all were - suggesting some major quality control problems.
