SenaSNOWTALK-10M Long Range Bluetooth Intercom and Stereo Headset, Black

The left click requires too much pressure and has too small a clickabke area to be effective in my Giro helmet. Beware the word "tap" in instructions and descriptions. This actually means single click rather than a tap as you might use with Apple airpods.

Set up is easy and these Bluetooth headsets can be used with a mobile phone or, if you buy two or more, they can be effectively used as an intercom. I used them while out cycling rather than on a ski slope but whilst the claimed range didn't seem as great as the box suggested the range is nevertheless very good. Sound quality is pretty good too. Expensive they may be but there's no denying that on the whole these headsets live up to the claims on the box.

This allows communicating hazards such as ice or upcoming obstacles (*cough* people stood chatting in the middle of a run), status such as clear to approach a jump, OK after a wipe-out, etc.as well as allowing conversation.My concerns over unwanted wind/heavy-breathing noise coming through were unfounded, nothing like that at all. Equally it picks up voice very clearly and with no need to raise speaking volume at all. In fact with a helmet on I wouldn't be able to hear what is being said without it.It can pick up other people talking nearby (guide) or between other users if close (chairlift, queue), but turning it off is just one-tap if needed. Often leave it connected as it allows us to talk quietly without being heard or without having to raise voice. I can't emphasise enough how much easier it makes normal conversation.Charging up the night before it lasts a full day of use (~8hrs). Charging takes a couple hours and indicates when charged. Range does reduce as charge goes down but typically isn't noticeable until very low.Range is very line-of-sight based with a good 300m or more if used in open space (managed to connect to slope from chairlift a good distance away), less with trees in the way and much less if around the mountain (corner, slope) or with buildings in-between. Both users can tell as signal deteriorates as slight cracking is heard and intensifies as the signal degrades until it disconnects.Dis/Re-connecting once in range is just one tap and can be done by either user meaning you could stay disconnected until needed.Not used for music as I run with an IEM/earphone in one ear as (as far as I know) it does not support music and voice at the same time.Weight is not noticable.You may get the odd strange look if you are "talking to yourself", but that is nothing compared to the ease and clarity of communication it brings. A must-have for parents herding young kids new to the slopes.

Amazing! There is a bit of background noise but it is a really successful method of communication whenever you want to say something. It adds so much quality, fun and safety (as you can warn the ones at the back about obstacles, ice, etc) to your skiing.

This bluetooth intercom is easy to set up and use,The speakers need to be inserted in the elasticated headband (medium & large options are available).To maximise connectivity the antenna on the right speaker must be facing upwards.Pairing with each other and a mobile phone was straightforward.An internal mic is situated in the right speaker but a socket is provided for an external mic if required.Once positioned correctly the sound quality from the speakers is fairly good but not hi-fi quality.The functions are controlled by 2 buttons on the outside of each speaker.As they are multi function it's worth taking time to learn the various operations before hitting the slopes.Range is claimed to be 700 metres in open terrain but when testing these in a local park it was more like 400 metres before dropout occurred although a greater distance may be achievable at altitude.This is still impressive for this type of intercom and the quality of reception up to this distance is excellent.

Great Britain is more wet than snowy and most of our mountains are like hills when compared to the ski locations around the world, but that does not stop us from enjoying the piste. With no snow, you can still enjoy the pastime – ski cross can be done all year round on our roads and has the same issues with communication as if you were in the Alps; how do you listen to music or use the phone? The ‘Sena SNOWTALK’ is a great piece of kit to use as a hands free device that survives the bumping and jostling of when you are moving quickly like in ski cross.I was able to test the device more as musical headphones, rather than telecommunications as cross ski is a little more solitary. Linking the headphones to your Bluetooth enabled device is very simple. The quality of the sound is very good, but not great. This is made up for in the way the ‘SNOWTALK’ has been designed specifically for the skier in mind. The headphones fit into a headband that can be work on its own, or under a helmet – you can even fit the headphones directly into a ski helmet if it has the attachments. The only wire is between the speakers. You charge up the entire set before heading out and the battery easily lasted the 3 hours or so.The telecommunications element really adds to the usefulness. It links to your phone easily and the inbuilt microphone is incredibly subtle, but works well. If you do not link to your phone, you should be able to link to another of the headsets – making communication on the slopes easier. However, as mentioned, the ‘Snowtalk’s will be used more as a music player for me and here it works well, but the headphones don’t quite have the high-end sound that you get from the best headphones. If you are looking for more, the additional telecommunications element makes it a far more useful tool.

This is a product that I didn't know I needed until I was sent a set to review for Amazon Vine. These work well, pairing with my iPhone with ease and offer good quality audio and voice. I don't ski but these work well when cycling as well.

De fabula para escuchar musica mientras esquias!! El sonido es bueno ahora bien, la recepcion de las llamadas telefonicas es un poco precaria el sonido

Bon produit et simple d'utilisation:que ça soit le couplage bluetooth avec mon téléphone, l'utilisation du Snowtalk en mode musique ou téléphone est vraiment facile et presque intuitive et heureusement puisqu'il n'y a que deux boutons, un sur l'écouteur gauche et l'autre oui sur le droit, mais alors pourquoi avoir réuni le volume sur le même bouton? Pas évident à gérer le plus du moins.. plus d'une fois je me suis retrouvé avec le son au max sans le vouloir.Hormis ce petit défaut le son est top, vraiment!Un autre petit défaut, après c'est certainement due à un problème de taille du bandeau (medium), mais le mien à une fâcheuse tendance à descendre au niveau de mes sourcils plutôt que de rester sur mon front.pas de problème à relever sur l'autonomie de la batterieJ'en suis très satisfait
