Yes - the granules are meant to dissolve quickly so they raise the bromine levels rapidly and the tablet then help to maintain the level by releasing a constant dose. You should be checking the water periodically to check the levels are correct. I personally use the test strips because they are easier. I now use bromine tablets to maintain the 'correct' level and rarely top up with granules. You will have to watch how the water in your tub behaves as the water in the UK varies by region surprisingly significantly. Enjoy your work - it's worth it to relax in the bubbles

Indeed so but I gave up on hit tub. Just did not work. Tub easily went cloudy . Back to their chlorine tablets which are great. No problems with water now. Far prefer .

Further questions about this product indicates it is very potent. I have experienced skin rashes using this which I did not experience using master spa bromine granules and tablets which came with my hot tub. I have now purchased multi chemical indicator strips which test chlorine and bromine levels in addition to pH level.
