2 RCA Cables for Amplifier, Active Speakers or Subwoofer, 1.2 m, Black

Simple and good quality RCA cables at a good price. Good build quality, good sound, and good length.

I've been involved with HiFi for decades and have tried many different kinds of RCA cables over the years, from the freebies that used to be given away with equipment to quality items from manufacturers such as Van De Hul and QED . I've never been tempted by cables costing in excess of one hundred pounds however as I don't feel that I could tell the difference and to be honest and wonder if anyone really can. Emperors new clothes anyone? It is usually true that if you pay more you will receive a better quality item but don’t expect it to sound any better. Of course it would be foolish to suggest that differences don't exist, and I have compared cables back to back in the past, easy with an Arcam CD player, merely that I personally cannot hear them. This brings me on to the purchase of these Amazon Basics RCA interconnects. As an analogue enthusiast, I had been having problems with mains hum on my multi cassette deck set up, this being down to some truly poor quality leads picking up interference from the power cables. Even moving the interconnects as far a possible from the source of the problem could not reduce the annoyance to an acceptable level so I decided to have a look at what was available at a price that I was inclined to pay, as I needed multiple sets. I considered making my own of course, something that I’ve done that in the past but didn’t think that any cost saving was worth the trouble as I needed at least four sets possibly more. I therefore commenced my search, coming across the Amazon Basics cables at a very reasonable price and they looked quite good on the listing. Obviously you can tell little from a photograph but the reviews seemed positive so I bought a couple of sets to try. Initial impressions were favourable, the RCA connectors looked to be of good quality. The plugs appear to be gold plated and are a positive fit in the sockets on the equipment. I assume that the plugs are moulded in place as I couldn’t persuade any of them to unscrew, not an issue really. All in all a good start. Physically the cable is pretty hefty and the whole ensemble puts me in mind of a sturdy QED Qnect One, although a lot less flexible. Again, this isn’t a problem for me. As far a curing the hum problem is concerned, I was so impressed that I bought another four sets, and have now purchased six sets in total for less than the cost of one quality named brand interconnect. The hum is completely gone and there is plenty of scope in the complicated wiring for it to be induced but it isn’t so well done Amazon. Don’t ask me to describe the sound, I’ve already said that I can’t hear the difference but all is well as far as I am concerned. I did consider doing a back to back test with some Nordost and Van Den Hul cables but I would be wasting my time. As things are, music goes into the cassette decks, gets recorded and comes back out again with no loud hum present and sounding as good as I need it to be. One thing that Amazon might consider is offering the cables in 75cm lengths as they are quite long at 122cms and the shorter length would have suited me for some of the connections that I had to make and I wouldn’t even grumble at paying the same price. In conclusion if I need any more RCA interconnects I will be returning for more of these. Recommended.

When it comes to home audio setups, having the right cables can make a world of difference. Amazon Basics' 2 RCA Audio Cable promises to enhance your stereo speaker or subwoofer connections, and for the most part, it delivers. 👌 Let's start with the positives. The cable's double shielding and oxygen-free copper (OFC) inner conductors ensure minimal signal loss, resulting in a clean and consistent audio experience. No more annoying interference or unwanted noise – just pure, unadulterated sound quality. 🎶 Additionally, the gold-plated connectors provide a solid and corrosion-resistant connection, ensuring longevity and reliability. However, there are a few areas where this cable falls short. While the 1.22m length is sufficient for most setups, those with more extensive home theater systems might find themselves wishing for a longer option. 🤷‍♀️ Additionally, the lack of directional markings on the connectors can make it a bit confusing when setting up your system, especially if you're dealing with multiple components. Another minor gripe is the cable's flexibility (or lack thereof). It can be a bit stiff and unyielding, making it challenging to route and organize neatly, particularly in tight spaces. A more pliable design would have been appreciated for easier cable management. 658️⃣ Despite these minor drawbacks, Amazon Basics' 2 RCA Audio Cable remains a solid choice for those seeking a reliable and affordable connection for their home audio setup. Its performance is commendable, and the included shielding and gold-plated connectors ensure a quality audio experience. 🎚️ Just be prepared to embrace the cable's quirks, such as its length limitations and lack of directional markings. And if cable management is a high priority for you, you might want to consider investing in more flexible options. 💡 Overall, this cable is a worthy addition to any budding audiophile's arsenal, offering great value for the price. 🎧💰

Great cables Crap delivery 😡 Amazon delivery guy didn’t even walk to my door, just through them over my fence!!!!

Great quality and great sound. Very recommended. And great value for money 🫶

This cable is seriously good and looks sturdy too, unlike some which look flimsy or 'cheap.' Many/most audiophile types wouldn't look twice at such an inexpensive cable but that's their loss frankly, as appearance, hype and high costs count for far more even if they don't realise the fact. All I can say from personal experience is that if this cable was dressed up a bit for show, fancy-foo plugs fitted and so on and priced at many multiples of this price, it'd be regarded as a super-refined sounding interconnect with no 'splatter' or rough edges at higher frequencies. This cable can be VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED INDEED as a good honest interconnect that does the job perfectly. I bought the 1m one but no reason why longer runs shouldn't be good as well.

I’m ashamed. I nearly didn’t order these due to audiophile snobbery. Who wants Amazon Basics cables near their equipment? . For the price I thought I would give them a try. Wow! I am blown away with the quality. Highly recommended and great price!

Nice thick cables, flexible too. High quality connectors.

Excellents

Great quality cables for a decent price. Replaced all my old one’s with these.
