It’s good coffee. But is it great coffee? I don’t know. Made in a on/off coffee pot with no special prep.

I drink this every morning. I love it. It is a little spendy but that doesn't stop me from enjoying it.

Good coffee, it gives you the pick up and go when you need it.

Took a chance on this new brand and must say I was pleasantly surprised by the bold flavor. Was absolutely free of any bitterness. Will definitely be a regular customer-

As soon we opened this bag of coffee, we could smell just how good the coffee must taste. Sure enough, it brewed up so deliciously that my boyfriend drank his 1st cup black! He always uses cream and sugar. He’s raved about “Storm Warning” ever since, really. So, I thought since he loves it so much and has hijacked it as his own, (plus, he drinks much more coffee than I), I asked him to help with the review. This is what he said 😁:Strong and Smooth. Delicious.This was the first cup of black coffee I’d had in 20 years.I’ve been enjoying mine with milk and sugar for a long time. Admittedly, I depend on it. Two pots of regular, one decaf, per day.For the sake of this review, I wanted to take the first couple sips without my additives to better describe its true flavor. The makers’ description on their website includes “smoky raspberry, dark chocolate, anise”… but I honestly don’t think I have that discerning of a palate to distinguish subtle tasting notes. It’s my own fault for bludgeoning myself with the larger, grocery store coffee brands for so many years, less often choosing higher quality coffees, roasted in smaller batches, from small, progressive and globally conscious companies like Kaptein. What I can say is that this is Fantastic coffee, super flavorful… simultaneously smooth and bold. It finishes nicely with absolutely no burnt aftertaste or staleness… completely balanced.My first couple of sips turned into a couple more, until I realized I had finished the cup! My gullet usually can’t handle a full cup of black coffee on an empty stomach, but this was different. It was such an odd sensation for me that I immediately went to tell my girlfriend all about it. Well, she did not share my enthusiasm at 6 AM 😬But later on, she did try some and loved it too.I have some issues with high acidity foods and there’s just no bite to this coffee, in a good way, I mean. No bitterness. This was a nice surprise to me for such a great smelling, deep and robust coffee like Storm Warning. These guys know what they’re doing.That one cup of black coffee has me deciding to splurge more on the good things.Kaptein has joined my list of favorite, premium brands… I can’t remember a better cup in recent times.I will be ordering more of this coffee. I’ve read in the reviews that their shipping is very good as well.Perhaps my girlfriend will get me some for my birthday… wink wink, nudge nudge.

This coffee is very good tasting, I think it has slightly more bitterness than my regular espresso coffee beans and a bit less crema.The taste is intense and it gives a good caffeine boost. The aromas are pleasant. I do like the mix of Arabica and Robusta grains in this coffee, it makes it bolder tasting than most.This is a great quality coffee, I just wish there was a whole bean version, but I haven't seen it online yet. I guess it might come later.
