Very happy with the purchase. Now done over 150 miles on the bike. Seems pretty much as good as my brother's Volt Pulse electric bike which costs £2100 (and on which I have done many miles) . Same gear set-up - 8 gears easy to use. Power uphill on 5 is plenty enough. Power on flat at 2 means you are still having some exercise. No point more power on flat as basically speed limited to 15.5 mph - unless freewheeling - as per the law. Furthest journey (quite flat) 25 miles and still had 3 bars on the battery - so enough for my needs. Frame plenty big enough for my 6' height. Highly recommend

The price of this bicycle seems to vary considerably. My review is based on the bike at one of the "favourable" prices. The bike has a number of plus points which are very welcome: Front and rear disc brakes Front and rear lights Front suspension Pannier rack Mud guards Comfy seat A variable position handlebar stem, which allows for a more upright riding position Cycle computer The gears are selected by using a trigger shifter. There's only one set of gears, which I prefer to keep things simple. I don't know how many miles are achievable on a full battery charge, though I can say that I've travelled 25 miles on a single charge and there was battery to spare. Power delivery from the motor is reasonably smooth. I have experienced some downsides with the bike: The supplied instructions are poor and sometimes refer to other bike models. The brakes are noisy. My bike tends to rattle over rough surfaces. I've not owned the bike long enough to comment about durability. I would say the bike is designed for comfort, rather than speed, so I doubt it will offer anything to a fit, seasoned cyclist, however, I think its ideal for someone like me who needs a motor to take some of the strain (and pain) out of cycling up hilly terrain. Overall, I think it's a cracking bike.

Comfortable commute with all the bells and whistles of mudguards, etc. Battery and power of the motor is ample for an effortless ride. However, it can be quite a bumpy ride if you have the tyres properly inflated so I upgraded the saddle to a Selle Royale 5036805 which was a complete game changer. NOTE: It's only a bumpy ride due to the absolute state of UK roads. Highly recommended 👍

The bike was delivered on time and it was possible to track the progress of the delivery lorry. A smaller time slot would have been an advantage. The bike was mechanically sound , the paint finish was good and the frame was nicely welded together. The motor was good and had 5 power settings and cut out at a legal 25KPH. The battery range was good and it was neatly incorporated into the frame. However, it was impossible to change the display to MPH. The Owner’s Manual was useless, and despite various suggestions from the Amazon chat line (which was answered very quickly) it proved to be impossible. At that stage the Amazon team suggested that I return the bike. I would not have done so, but I realised that there were no instructions in the Owner’s Manual for removing the back wheel, which would have been necessary in the event of a puncture. As a bike owner of over 60 years, taking a wheel off is not a problem, but it would have been necessary to disconnect the electrical feed to the motor, and this was not obvious. Therefore the bike was returned as advised by Amazon. The first agreed pickup was cancelled by the driver. ArrowXL (the pickup company) then accused me of missing the pickup, and eventually a new time was agreed a week later. Arrow then issued two pickup dates. The pickup was done on the first date, and apart from the driver getting lost, went smoothly and the refund was issued. I cancelled the second pickup, but on the day the driver rang to say he was 15 minutes away, and only then could I cancel it. I am surprised that Amazon trust their deliveries and pickups to a chaotic company with very poor administrative procedures who never respond to their chat line and take no notice of email complaints (other than sending an automatic response)

This is my first electric bike, but most of what I'm going to write below is nothing to do with the fact that it's electric. I cycle 13-20 miles a day and have done so for the last 20 years. In Autumn/Spring the charge will last 2 days, in winter I have to charge every day. Problems with the bike - the brakes were very, very badly configured. They'd loosen off every couple of weeks. No idea why as I've had similar Tektro brakes before. The seatpost fixing to the saddle also had similar issues, constantly coming loose for no reason. The sheath on the brake cables has also worn through. As far as the electric aspect is concerned, the connections to the rear light constantly fall out, which is not ideal. Also the front light is probably ok for a brightly lit city commute, but I have a mile of country road on my commute so have to add another light in the dark. The bike isn't great to use without the battery because of the drag of the motor (even with the battery removed) and the weight. I couldn't recommend this for every day use and I will be using my non-electric bike over summer. If you are thinking of making the switch to electric bike from a normal bike, I've realised that as my normal cycling speed was faster than the limited speed on the electric motor, actually I'm cycling slower now because of the weight and drag on the bike, once the motor has switched off. It's great for a hill start when you're tired, but other than that the benefits are not amazing.

E’ una bicicletta progettata e sviluppata accuratamente per renderla un’ottima e bike. Arrivata in uno scatolone di grandi dimensioni, era già assemblata, ho dovuto solo regolare il manubrio, montare i pedali con delle chiavi a brugola (non in dotazione) e gonfiare gli pneumatici (attacco come le automobili), la batteria era quasi del tutto carica ma, seguendo il manuale, va ricaricata per le prime due o tre volte per 24 ore di seguito. Di primo acchito quello che si nota immediatamente è la solidità dei componenti impiegati, tutti di ottima fattura. Il telaio è in alluminio, la forcella è ammortizzata e regolabile, il sedile in gel molto comodo e ben ammortizzato, attenua abbastanza le piccole buche e i dislivelli. Sulla strada, da subito l'idea di stabilità e robustezza, la batteria è ben nascosta come se fosse un tutt’uno con il telaio che è di ottima fattura. L’ho provata per andare a lavoro, circa 5 Km., la sensazione è stata molto piacevole, ho quasi sempre superato i 25 km. senza affaticarmi affatto. Il motore ha una buona spinta e offre la possibilità di scegliere tra 5 livelli di assistenza commutabili durante il tragitto direttamente dall’accessorio, posto alla destra del manubrio, che comanda il computer di bordo. La batteria si può caricare direttamente, senza estrarla, collegando l'alimentatore nella presa ubicata sulla destra della batteria sollevando il gommino che racchiude e protegge l'interruttore, oppure, estraendola per caricarla comodamente a casa propria. Per l'estrazione della batteria occorre inserire le chiavi in dotazione, girarle e spingere la parte superiore della batteria verso destra. I fanali hanno buona resa luminosa e la sera si è facilmente visibili. Una cosa che non mi è piaciuta è il colore nero lucido dei parafanghi (in plastica), mentre il resto della bicicletta è nero opaco, è un piccolo dettaglio che non ho gradito per niente. Un’altra nota negativa è l’impossibilità di regolare il limite di velocità che è impostato, come per legge, sui 25 km. ma, se volessi aumentarlo o, come nel caso mio, diminuirlo non è possibile. Pur essendo spiegato nelle istruzioni. Sempre nelle istruzioni leggo di un’ipotetica impostazione dell’orologio che, a mio avviso, non è presente nel computer di bordo di cui è dotata la mia bicicletta. Sono piccole cose che non mi lasciano del tutto soddisfatto. Nel complesso la bicicletta è molto bella, si lascia guidare con semplicità, quando si pedala ci si sente comodi e sicuri, io sono piuttosto alto ed è la prima volta che mi sento cosí comodo in bicicletta. Utilizzata anche da mia figlia abbassando tutto il sedile, utilizzata prevalentemente da una persona molto anziana, per questo motivo volevo abbassare la velocità massima. Complimenti ai F.lli. Schiano, che fanno belle biciclette dal 1923 ed io vi ho scoperto solo ora. Meglio tardi che mai.

Arrivata montata, ad eccezione dei pedali. Regolata senza difficoltà. Io sono alta 162 e regolando manubrio e sellino mi trovo a mio agio. È molto comoda. La pedalata assistita è una bomba. Io trovo sufficiente la prima velocità per non sentire la fatica del percorso che devo percorrere abitualmente. Un nuovo mezzo, economico e salutare, per andare a lavoro!!!

La storia di questo acquisto risale a marzo (ben 7 mesi fà). Nel frattempo ho avuto diverse vicissitudini e problemini che ho risolto ma con tanta fatica e perchè sononun pò pratico. Partendo dal generale la bicicletta è molto bella e rifita molto bene, quindi qualità prezzo per lo stile e componenti da 5 stelle. Il motore è nella norma abbastanza potente e performante. Ad oggi ho percorso 1100 Km, la batteria molto buona, tiene bene e la ricarico ogni 60 70 km percorsi. Freni insomma da registare e pulire ogni tanto con le pastiglie nuove. Cambio medio e da regolare nelle prime uscite (io ho escluso il primo rapporto perchè non si risuciva a registare. La bici è molto pesante 23-24 kg, impossibile uso senza batteria (questo penso valga per tutte le elettriche di fascia medio-bassa). Passiamo ora ai problemi incontrati. Premetto che ho cambiato ben 3 bici (!) per vari problemi incontrati e Amazon è stato super in questo, l'assistenza Schiano no anzi.. darei zero. Secondo me non vedono/testano neanche le bici, che vengono spedite direttamente da loro fornitore, sul quale non hanno controllo qualità. Questo mi è parso dalle loro risposte alle mie domande.. La prima bici arrivata non si riusciva a regolare l'altezza del manubrio, lavorando sull'attacco regolabile. Sono stato da 2 meccanici specializzati e mi han detto che o era bloccato o che la regolazione che si vedeva esterna era "finta". Ho acquistato su Amazon un altro attacco e sostituito. Ho mandato a Schiano la fattura come da loro indicazione e mi han risposto che quella rottura non era coperta e non mi rimborsavano) hahahah. Altra anomalia riscontrata era che rispetto a quanto descritto dal libretto istruzioni non si riusciava ad entrare nel sotto menu e ridurre/aumenatre la velocità massima di rotta. Sentita l'assistenza Amazon che mi ha rigirato all'assietnza Schiano che mi ha rigirato al libretto istruzioni. Alla fine pensando ad anomalia del computer di bordo Amazon mi ha consigliato di fare reso. Sostituita la bici, nella seconda ho trovato le stesse identiche problamatiche, quindi attacco manubrio bloccato e non regolabile e velocità in computer bordo non modificabile. Decido di tenerla e dopo 500 km iniziano degli strani scoppietti quando si superano i 25km/h sulla zona di pedalata. bici sempre tenuta benissimo e mai presa pioggia o altro. Sento Amazon che mi dice di non usarla e fare subito reso. Me la sostituisce ancora (la bici nel complesso a me piace!). Bene. Al momento dopo i primi 2 mesi di tuning e sistemazioni sono ancora con la 3a bici. Procede tutto bene. Unica preoccupazione per il futuro.. quando avrò bisogno di sostituire la batteria o altre parti componenti.. questi si troveranno? ci sarà l'assistenza Schiano a rispondere e aiutrami? Nel complesso sono felice dell'acquisto e la consiglierei non sopra i 950 euro. Al produttore consiglio invece di approfondire le problematiche che ho segnalato e sostituire in garanzia le parti. Le istruzioni se non sono corrette vanno cambiate! Non si può scrivere che esiste un menu e questo non esiste o non ci si accede! L'assistenza va potenziata e non solo via mail!! Grazie Amazon invece!
