Q: How do you wash and dry?

The tag on the hat has minimal instructions shown as laundry symbols. In the order presented on my hat, they say: - normal wash at 30C or lower (bucket of water with 30° written on it) - Do not bleach (triangle with X) - Low iron setting (iron with one dot) - Dryclean with any solvent besides trichloroethylene (Circle with P) - Do not tumble dry (box with circle and X)

Q: My soon has a big head, will this fit?

My husband has a large head so I asked him to try it on, and he said it felt comfortable and fit. It's a nice, stretchy knit, and soft. I'd try it for your son.

It has easily kept my head warm and cozy as low as -17 degrees centigrade. The scarf only to about -10

I would say yes. I love this hat. It fits great and is the warmest hat I own.
