Blue Moon

A beautiful dark blue color that goes on smoothly and easily. I have medium dark hair so I bleached before applying. (I used Manic Panic's Amplified Bleach. If you are doing a lot of hair, or your hair is long, I would get 2 bleach kits if you are using this particular brand.) Manic Panic is easy to apply - just apply the color where you want it, leave it (I left it for about an hour), rinse out. And rinse out. And rinse out. lol Expect to turn your towel blue - for the next couple of washes. The less you wash your hair, the longer it stays. After a few washes, this color will turn a light turquoise color. (Still pretty.) Right after coloring, be careful - ANYTIME your hair gets wet, the color WILL run. (It will also get under your nails when you scratch your head.) These minor annoyances don't bother me enough to stop using Manic Panic...but I would want to know this stuff before I used it. Bottom Line: Manic Panic is the BEST product out there for coloring your hair funky shades. It lasts much longer than any other brand I've tried, it's easy application makes re-touches "cake", and the colors are bold and brilliant. I wouldn't hesitate to use this brand, or color, again.

Love this shade of blue. It's definitely cheaper to order it on here not in the 3 pack and instead just buy 3 separately. Don't be fooled. It does stain the bathtub/towels the 1st and 2nd wash so be careful.

Love manic panic dye! It’s the only dye that sticks in my hair. I’ve had it in a bleached section of my hair for 2 months and it’s barely faded. It sticks to my dark hair to, just expect more of a emerald green.

Blue Moon is a gorgeous vibrant blue, but it rubs off on everything. My hair looks amazing but my ear and parts of my bathroom are blue.

I absolutely love this color! I was using "shocking blue," which is also a gorgeous color, but it fades to a light fuschia/pink color for me. I got tired of fading pink, tried "blue moon," and (even going over pink) this color fades blue still! It's a very true blue color and is my new go-to! I have to wash my hair pretty frequently, so the color (any of the ones I've used, not just "blue moon") fades faster for me, but still lasts a few weeks before I start feeling like I need to recolor it. Manic Panic is like a conditioner; it leaves my hair feeling so soft and not at all dry. My hair is about halfway down my back, and I get 3 or 4 coloring sessions out of a tub of Manic Panic for about half of my hair. I recommend this brand to anyone who expresses interest, but keep in mind that your hair needs to be fairly light for bright colors to show up really vibrant. The darker your hair, the more like just a tint of color you'll get.

Works well fades kinda fast

My hair is light blonde (NOT BLEACHED) and this hasn't come out of my hair and it has been 2 months! If you want a permanent dye for your light blonde hair, this is permanent! it will fade but it will be very gradual. did not make my hair dry or anything. it does say may stain very light hair, which was something I only read after using the product.

I definitely didn't bleach my hair perfectly so I had patches of lighter blues and Aqua in my hair which I really loved since it gave it a mermaid look, this dye really gets through but after a few hours, it will stop dying your hair (as normally) I left it on for 24 hours and it gave me a vibrant blue, if I wanted a darker color I'd try to mix a bit of black. I definitely recommend Manic Panic because it's Vegan, Animal Cruelty Free, and they use your purchase to donate to charities. If you have long thick hair, I recommend up to 2 - 3 bottles. 💖

I have thick black, curly hair, so I wasn’t sure which company would make the best dye suitable for me, especially since blue isn’t an easy color to achieve on black hair. But this product was very good, the blue does turn into green after a while but it stayed a good 5 weeks or so, I’d recommend if your hair sounds similar to mine but make sure to get strong bleach to go along with it

I love this hair color(blue moon). It never disappoints . The color lasts for very long tho the color changes from blue to green but I like that as well .
