The light is rather bright bit this should be considering that the idea is to use it to see their way to the bathroom or read, many accidents occur due to low light levels and eyestrain is a problem in low light. It depends what you want it for bit I think it is perfect for what it was designed for. It is soft and cuddly and appears well made. I do not think it is cheap looking, it is an average unicorn, but Disney bit neither is it pound shop quality.
