Hifiman he 400/500/600 users please read for fitting instructions.....
Fantastic ear pads, lovely and plush and the quality is very good considering the price. Very comfortable and keeps your ear a nice distance from the driver without causing discomfort around the ears or causing loss in sound quality. These are a nod to the audeze type earpads. The thing about the hifiman is the earpads are circle , these are oval which means fitting is very hard. However , the final shape once attached to the earpads is oval and a perfect fit for your ear. I thought Id provide fitting instructions as these are quite difficult to fit.1) remove plastic mounting rings from your old hifiman pads.2) insert mounting ring into rear of the brainwave earpad, this will be a struggle. bend either side of the mounting ring so it makes a saddle shape, this will assist in getting the ring in the pad. Be sure to allow the lips of the leather oval to cover mounting ring clips (you can sort this later) (PIC1)3) with one hand rotate earpad, with the index finger of the other hand , push down on the ring when inside the leather oval rim ensuring there is a clear indentation of the ring through the leather, about half a cm below rear stitching (PIC2)4) (PIC3) gently pull back leather oval rim of the pads so they are 'hooked' inside each clip , with a flatsided screwdriver, ever so slightly pry the clip up. This gives you extra room to hook into the indent of the driver/cup..5) lets say each clip is a direction on a compass. hook in south clip to the headphone cup/driver while applying firm pressure on the south, ease in the west and eastern clip. While applying some pressure to those attempt to hook in the northern cip (a bit difficult). Then with the earpad secured in place rotate and gently lift up a little to feel for 'play'. Hopefully each clip is secured and there you have it..... (PIC5) all done!!!

Great alternative ear pads for Audioquest Nighthawk
Bought to replace stock microsuede or pleather ear pads on Audioquest Nighthawk headphones. A bit tricky to fit, you need to stretch the ear pads lip over the oval headphone ear pad mounting ring and then punch out four holes for the pins on the mounting ring (I used a leather punch tool). The effort is certainly worth it. Comfort is very good, and in my opinion audio quality is vastly improved compared to the stock pads. The elevated 100 - 500 Hz region is lowered significantly whilst sub bass is largely retained. This leads to a much cleaner sound signature with less muddiness and clearer mid range. Treble is more prominent, but still sweet without sibilance. The headphone is apparently much more resolving. In addition, soundstage is wider and imaging more three dimensional. A fantastic upgrade over stock Nighthawk ear pads.

Great purchase for ATHm50x upgrade.
Review for pleather:I bought these as a replacement for the ATH m50x's stock ear pads which I found to be not only rock hard, but also not large enough to enclose my ears comfortably. The Brainwavz Angled Earpads fit this headphone very well, creating a good seal. A good tip for putting them on is to push the ear cups out from the inside to stretch around the headphone. These earcups are extremely thick and plush and very comfortable. In terms of altering the sound signature of my headphones I do believe these earcups have increased sound stage just a touch and also just made everything sound a little bit more crisp thanks to their good seal.Expensive, yes, but worth it? Yes.

Used on Logitech Pro X wired headset
I bought these due to how uncomfortable I found the stock earpads on the Pro X to be, these Brainwavz earpads fixed that issue. My ears are no longer pushed up against the drivers, which would give me earache within a few hours. The earpads themselves are okay in quality, they seem sturdy enough but the stitching lines aren't pretty, doesn't bother me too much though. Getting them on wasn't too difficult, some trimming was needed of course. For anyone who has a Pro X headset and is thinking of getting these, trimming along the imprinted line on the back should give you enough leeway to get them on (Picture 1 shows the guideline). I have also noticed that my ears are significantly less warm than they were with the stock earpads ( I used the pleather ones). One thing to note is that my earpads are slightly thinner at their thickest side than what is advertised. They are supposed to be 40mm but mines are 35mm. They do list in the description that a slight variation in thickness/size will happen but I was expecting 1-2 mm. Not a big difference for me but just so others are aware! (Last photo) The overall sound has stayed relatively the same with some changes. The bass is slightly more pronounced and clearer. I've noticed that I have better soundstage with these earpads on which is what I expected since they are deeper! (I will add a photo of my EQ preset to show what settings I use) Overall I'm pleased with these new earpads, they provide comfort and added benefits of a better soundstage and clearer bass. The only downside is the attention to the stitching and for this price, it should be far better.

PERFECT for my AT ATH-40x's
I usually avoid pu leather like the plague, but I wanted fenestrated, angled pads because of the angled design of the drivers of the ATH-40x's. I have the Dekoni pads for my model, and was looking in to the oval zmf pads but - because these Brainwavs are significantly cheaper - I gave these a shot and was very pleasantly surprised. The soundstage is greatly improved without compromising the exceptional instrument separation these cans are renowned for. The velour is soft, and doesn't have the same "seal" like my sheepskin Dekoni's, but it's still plenty snug around the ears but less isolating, resulting in a wider, seemingly open-back sound that surrounds you. Overall, I don't feel the need to purchase the more expensive pads as I'm very satisfied with these.

Excellent replacement earpads for the Samson SR850s
It's a must have for anyone with SR850s, the donuts that they come with are serviceable but are not very good. These angled pads really make a difference in the listening experience. They weren't easy to install but once they're on they aren't going anywhere.
