Review: All you need! - This book has been an amazing companion with me during my time in Amsterdam, wide range of information including transportation from airport and recommended restaurants to visit. I have been told that this book is really helpful so i though to give it a try and i am definitely impressed and looking forward to my next destination. i will recommend the 4 day planner since you get to visit all areas of Amsterdam on a reasonable time-scale while having recommendations for the places that worth visiting. The planner is very organised and it will guide you though to the next place without you worrying about which way you need to go. Included on the back of the book if a full size map of Amsterdam with all the points of interest. Advice: Some of the restaurants mentioned are extremely busy so it will be ideal to pre-book before attending. I had to skip a few of them due to long queues and long waiting time. Review: A useful guide - I bought this along with the Lonely Planet 'Make My Day' guide, and found that I used the other guide a lot more. This book was great for reading in advance to identify places of interest which you may want to visit, however as we were only in Amsterdam for a few days and wanted to make the most of our time, the 'Make My Day' guide enabled us to plan each day to ensure we had a full itinerary planned, including how we would travel from one point of interest to the next!

Excellent guide for a short weekend break in Amsterdam
Gave us some very good pointers on what to expect from our visit. The suggested walks in each area covered by the book were very useful as we like to explore a city on foot. Excellent value for money, and a handy size for carrying around with the map

Amsterdam in your pocket
This little Book is ideal for the traveller when visiting this Dutch City. It gives a comprehensive. guide to many of the attractions. My wife and I are going to Amsterdam on the 30th of this month for a short break. Lonely Planet guides are excellent and pocket sized with a clear pull out map.

must have
Great book for amsterdam, it had everything we needed and the maps are super useful. Best to read this before the trip so you can book certain museums in advance etc! I couldnt be without it, and it fits into a small handbag perfectly.

Useful book
Pretty good book with some interesting venues. It actually covered the place I was staying in the Oosterpark, so very helpful from that respect. It's always difficult using a book on the go, but it was small enough to carry in a pocket or small handbag, but that small size was also reflected in readability - getting too old for small font size.

Pocket sized but comprehensive.
Recipient found it useful. I had a quick read and given its pocket size it packs a good punch for information. Steve Riches, Northampton, UK

Perfect travel guide
THis book is the perfect size! It’s small enough to make it easy to carry, but not so small that it becomes hard to read. The tear out map coincides with the book perfectly making it easy to find places from the book
