Letterland: Far Beyond ABC: Story Phonics - Making Letters Come to Life!: 1

Have enjoyed reading this book with my 5 and 3.5 year olds. It’s just a shame as can’t seem to get hold of the book before this one and this is quite a jump from the first book

This book is a fabulous start to children that are learning how to speak English and children that are learning how to speak aged 3,4,5 or 6! It is a well wrote and represented book! It teaches little children sounds and words that got those sounds in them, like er-bigger.I recommend this book to every child and parent!!

In my opinion it’s one of the best Young Children’s Learning Books in the World - it introduces young children at an early age to the joys of the alphabet and the English Language. I always buy it for friends newborns instead of clothes or other items. I also often also buy them the Letterland CD that’s a brilliant tool to accompany the Books and for occupying young children on Car Journeys.

We have all 3 letterland books and they are excellent, with clear rules and sounds for reading. They have managed to make these into fun and interestingstories to help aid recall. My only gripe is that some letter sounds are not covered eg 'tion', 'sion', hence the score of 4 rather than 5 stars.

Fantastic book, just like the others in the series. I have learnt just as much as my son has. Isn't the English language complicated!!! My son loves the book and is always asking me to read it. I can't find anything to fault in the colourful characters and explainations. Introduces magic e and a new character, a boy called Roy.

Letterland has really made learning to read a fun thing to do in lockdown. Really clever stories to explain the combination of sounds. The child remembers the sounds because of the funny stories.

Great way of explaining the harder phonics rules to young children. My 2 and 4yr old will just sit and listen to this as a story - they often bring it to me to read.
