What is the different between the "black terra adapter" and the "terra adapter"? just the color?

The colors represent the type of air cylinder your Soda Stream uses the black screws on the machine the pink is a quick connect ,disconnect fitting found in newer soda stream machines. If you look at the photos of the black fitting you will see threads and it is a non Terra or a system that uses a blue air cylinder and the pink fitting is the one for a Terra system with pink air cylinders hope this helps
