as well as the great reviews was that this is a dry steam device ...
First impressions, out of the box was that the components have a quality feel to them and they connect together perfectly. The instruction booklet is very clear and operating this machine a piece of cake.I decided on Dupray after reading many reviews and buyers comments for various manufacturers and models. It is a bit pricey but you definitely get what you pay for. The main selling point for me, as well as the great reviews was that this is a dry steam device and that it operates at 145 deg C with a maximum pressure (adjustable) of 46 psi.I live in an apartment with my cat and she had fleas, the vet has treated her but I didn't want to use any chemicals to remove any fleas, larvae and eggs from my furniture and carpets. I have just completed cleaning my hallway carpet, moving the head about 1 inch per second on a pressure setting halfway between medium and high. The carpet did not get wet, maybe just very slightly damp but almost so that it's hard to notice. I did not notice any reduction in pressure and I kept the trigger pulled almost continuously. I saw dead larvae and fleas which need hoovering up and I very much doubt anything else survived either. I've also used it in my bathroom, some dirt and scaling around taps etc, it doesn't remove it instantly but it's much quicker than scrubbing with any cleaner. I used the triangular head for my tiles, they are now immaculate. Now for some cons! There aren't any real cons, for me anyway but for the pedantic amongst you the 6 minute warming up isn't as quick as some machines. Also, if you do need to refill then you have to release all the steam and wait 10 minutes before refilling. But after 30 minutes of constant use I was ready for a cup of tea anyway so this little aspect is of no importance to me. What is important is the way it cleans, killing any mites, bacteria and in my case flea eggs and larvae. Now I've written my review I will tackle the bedrooms and then the living room, it'll take most of the day but I have a cool beers waiting in my fridge for afterwards. Cheers!

Stupidly short cable on excellent steamer
I don't know who designed this but clearly they don't do any housework. The cable is very short and I mean very. I have a small bungalow and to steam the wooden floors throughout I had to not only use an extension lead but still replug it into different sockets four times to achieve my steam clean. Cable is also stored underneath the body of the steamer. What a stupid place to put it. It needs to be tipped up to unwind the cable and again to rewind it so has to be cold before it can be put away otherwise there is risk of burning yourself because it does get seriously hot.So to steaming. Well that has impressed me. It is a dry steamer and hardly any moisture was left on my wooden floors throughout and that is a first and a HUGE sell for me. It takes 8 minutes to warm up but stays seriously hot and effective. 220mls of water steamed all my bungalow floors, the loo, shower and 2 sinks. The tools that come with it are also robust and effective as well. It really has made my cleaning almost effortless. Overall I was impressed despite the drawbacks. Is it worth £200? Hmm jury is out on that. Certainly it's a very good product and worth spending money to buy but the flaws are major and annoying. I will therefore let you judge on that. The dry steam element for me has been the winning factor that makes it worth what it costs.

Breaks easily
The machine worked well, but the 3rd time it broke down. Dupray said they would replace it for a new one. That was 3 weeks ago. After leaving my phone number several times and multiple emails, I've heard nothing from them. I'll fill in a complaint with AmazonThey've finally sent me an email a week ago, after not hearing from them for a month. The machine was out of stock, they apologised and will sent me extra brushes. That was a week ago, still without cleaner....

Good but didn't last
Bought about 5.5 years ago and used several times with distilled water. Pulled out recently and although it heated up, it didn't let steam out although it still heated up, as mentioned in another review. I took it apart and found out there isn't a way to clean the steam pipe. However, I did descale and rinse it a number of times (black pieces came out), cleaned out the inside of the tank with a brush and secured all clips inside the unit. There was a click within the unit whenever I pushed the steaming button but the steaming still didn't work. Very disappointed as it looked like a quality machine and it had performed well initially. Now I've bought a Karcher and hope I get luckier...

Multiple tools for many cleaning jobs
This product is brilliant, easy to use, good instructions which were easy to follow.I’ve done a lot of cleaning this weekend and my house is sparkling! This cleaner has multiple uses and I’m so pleased with it. It’s light, portable and chemical free. I’m especially pleased with the grout on my stone floors they look brand new. I researched many products before buying this one and I’m pleased that my research has paid off. I also cleaned all my windows whilst I had the chance and they look lovely, it was so easy and I feel like I’ve had a good work out myself! I’d definitely recommend because this product is easy to use it’s on wheels like a vacuum cleaner so there is no heavy lifting involved, and you don’t have to use chemicals and everything not just looks clean and fresh, but knowing that I can just roll this product out like a normal vacuum cleaner I know I’ll be using it again and again. You get tools to do the different jobs and clear instructions or you can use the you tube videos if you are not good with written instructions. I would recommend 😃

BROKEN
purchased January now May steam coming out everywhere other than the lance. purchased a new lance a few days ago but no reason to use because the steam is coming out from electric lead . So wasted £14 on lance. £199 on flimsy steamer. 2nd dupray steam cleaner but i did down size . Although the machines are good cleaners they are not very robust. I have a tiny property and use once a week so should still be working . I am seeking a refund from AMAZON UK.
