Intellinet Universal Modular Plug Crimping Tool, For RJ45, RJ12 and RJ11 Modular Plugs

Tool is very well made and has safety guard for cutter, unlike many. Tested on RJ11 only. Ratchet mechanism worked well with correct amount of force to clamp all pins, but unfortunately the cable is not well clamped. Appears as if the projection for clamping the cable doesn't extend sufficiently far. I have asked for a replacement - hopefully this will be better as I really like this tool. Will update later.Replacement tool arrived very quickly and new one clamps the cable perfectly! Very pleased and have changed my rating. Hard to know why such a variance from the original. New one extends a good 1mm further into the plug and there is no adjustment possible - just pressed steel parts.

Great crimping tool for data cables that does a good job but doesn't cost the earth.. very pleased

This has an open end so it can be used with feed through type connectors. I have used it three times so far with 100% success. I deliberately leave the pressure on at the completion of the crimp for a few seconds.It managed to lock in the cable clamping bar.The Sheath cutter and Cable cutter both work.Looks to be a reasonably well made tool, although time will tell.Useful that it will do all 3 formatsRatchet mechanism with emergency release.

OK quality the retract Button doesn't work but does an ok ish job, sometimes it bends the pins in the connectors which is annoying but I have plenty so no bother for occasional crimping. Not for professional use.

Had seen versions of this in hardware stores for £25+ and didn't want to spend that for a 2/3 time job. That said the hours I spent trying to do it without made this a well worth £11.Did the job in minutes and perfect result.

Not had chance to fully test but can see this is much better than my previous cheap one that after a couple of uses the pins bent so connectors were not getting crimped properly and wondered why my leads were all faulty, this looks much more up to the job

Ideal for me, only use it occasionally and it works fine, not had any bad connections yet.

Looks a well made tool, but with the RJ45 connectors I used, I could never get a reliable connection.So was it the tool or the connectors?In the end I used a patch panel and patch cables.
