MLCS Can-Do Heavy Duty Corner Clamp & Vise

Love these. I am awful about square corners as I mostly make rough outdoor use type projects that are more utility than beauty. However, these clamps are very easy to use and help me make sure I pay attention to have a square outcome. I had a set of two of these for many years and just recently decided to get a 2nd set and I'm happy I did - having a set of 4 makes it more effecient for me. These are quality clamps, that are heavy duty and very durable. They clamp excellent and give me a square alignment. Though they are a bit pricey, I'm very very happy with them. My first set of (2) is at least 10 years old now and look and function brand new still.

I purchased four of these Can-Do Clamps for assembling Bee Colony Boxes. The maximum thickness of pass-through stock on these is 1 and 3/4 inches. The maximum lay flat miter or T-Joint thickness is 2 and 3/4 inches. The Clamp body is nice and heavy, painted aluminum. The threads are of good quality and the clamp holds very firm with very good gripping of the stock. The corners are OPEN, so any glue can drip down the joint without messing up the clamp, you also have open access to the joints for screwing or drilling the corners without the clamp getting in the way. You can bench mount it, wall mount it, or use it to shim stock while locking down the 90 degree angle. I use two at a time, as shown in the video, and have them clamp opposite 90 degree angles, this makes all angles a true 90 degrees. They work exactly as I expected them to, I expect these clamps to last a VERY long time as there really just isn't anything to wear out. I recommend them without hesitation or reservation. When it comes to the inconvenience of the sliding T-handle for adjusting, I just get it well within a few centimeters of the stock I plan to clamp, then just put it on and finish tightening.

I really like these clamps! I bought two to make this bench. I’m very much a beginner in these sorts of projects. Without these clamps, I do not think I could have done this project! I used them on the base, to set up the drawer dividers, and to form the boxes for the drawers. (Much easier for me than using band clamps for this.) They are slightly off of 90 degrees, so you have to be careful when you tighten it. But, that didn’t bother me at all. I did used band clamps for the drawer frames, though. This was simply easier and faster for such small pieces like that. But the can-do clamps really made this project possible! And they were fun to use. I did feel nervous about the red transferring to the wood. It might have done that a tiny bit, but it didn’t end up being a big problem, perhaps because I poly’d the wood before assembling anything. Still, would prefer not to need to feel stressed over that. All in all, I’m super glad I got them! They worked great for me, and I can’t wait to need them again for another project.

These are the best corner clamps I've used. They are heavy, very sturdy and well made, and best of all hold the material firmly and at a perfect 90 degrees. I'm building new wood window jambs for large, historic double hung wood window sashes. The material is 1x6 lumber. The jamb legs are each 65" long and the header is 44" long. I didn't have any way to hold the material securely at a 90 degree angle while I attached the pieces with structural screws. Then I found these clamps online. They got good reviews, and I thought they were worth the price - which I considered reasonable. Turns out the clamps are worth 10 times what I paid. I was able to assemble the jambs quickly and perfectly. I couldn't be happier.

These clamps are amazing compared to the old corner clamps I had been using for years in my woodworking hobby. The old clamps were hard to align and I was never guaranteed a 90 degree fit. These clamps are not only great from an ease of use and accuracy perspective, but they will hold up versus the resin/plastic comparable products that I read everyone is breaking when they clamp them down. The price is definitely a little higher than what I wanted to spend per clamp (I bought 2). After using them I will now invest in more and hoping I will never have to buy another set. I did read the complains about the red paint transfer and while I did see some of that it was minimal, and I was able to sand it right off. I'm glad I bought these versus the plastic versions which are cheaper. The other nice thing about these is that you can join two different thicknesses with no issues. Overall I am very satisfied and definitely recommend these to anyone needing good corner clamps for woodworking.

Parts a little bit out of square? These clamps are the best I've found. They are a little unwieldy, and a bit tricky to get the hang of using, but, once you do, they're golden. Within reason, they will force any imperfect boards into square. I made blocks to fit underneath the clamps to raise them off my workbench so I could fit pipe clamps and parallel clamps underneath to pull the boards together. The left area and the right area of the clamps are parallel and flat, so the pieces automatically flush themselves up - again, within reason. I use wood pads on all four mating surfaces of the clamps to avoid marring my workpiece, and I made a 1/4" spacer, 5/8" wide to sit within one of the channels of the clamp to account for a 1/4" rabbet on the back of six bookcases I'm building. The corners between the body and the shelves are perfectly square. There are some blue ones for sale by another company and they're good and high-quality, but they are for holding parts in place that are already square. These are great for imperfect boards.

I originally bought two Kreg corner clamps, which didn't work out. I was building a bookcase, using pocket holes, and I needed to get the carcass square. This can be a frustrating process, but with these clamps it made it a breeze. The clamps allow a lot of flexibility so you can get your corners to a perfect 90 degrees. With these holding the corners in place, it was a cinch to glue the backboard and secure the carcass to square. These clamps will make joinery, and squaring any cabinet a breeze.

Sometimes I can get this clamp to work perfectly, other times it can be a pain. An example I have issues with is taking 2x4's with a 45 degree cut into them and trying to use this clamp to secure it when gluing the 45's together. It always pushes one side out of alignment. It takes some time and a little luck to get some of my projects to fit just right into this clamp. It is decently priced for what it is and does work on projects like the one pictured doing in the advertisement. I gave it three stars but I bounced around between 2 and 3 before settling with 3.

A small bit fiddly to get them to obay your need to clamp. (getting the edges to exactly but properly) But this is sort of expected as it cannot possibly cover all use cases. It also lifts the carcus off the ground by exactly the same amount all around and makes it easy to put in screws as needed. And of course it lets u butt up wood of different sizes. It is an excellent piece of kit. I bought 2 lots of them and use them all the time.

Vale a pena

It is very easy to use and also adjustable for making drawers and wood working. Previously holding and drilling a section is very difficult not uniform. I recommend anyone interested in doing wood work needed this clamp. It is very easy and fast to work with.

It is useful

I don't really know what else to say about a clamp. It works. Accurate clamping for butt joints. It's solid and it will probably out-live me.
