Surpassed my expectations!
Would like to clear some misconceptions about this keyboard that made me anxious while purchasing: 1. For long term use, PBT keycaps are obviously more preferrable; but in the product image, the PBT variant looks like it has a very coarse texture. Does it actually look that bad? - I purchased the PBT keycap variant and I was pleasantly surprised by its appearance. The PBT keycaps look very different in real life than on camera. They have a beautiful stone-like finish with a subtle glittery look (not too shiny). In my opinion it looks better than the ABS variant, but I am unable to capture that look on camera. You'll have to see it for yourself. 2. Is the RGB customization software bad/limited? - I saw a lot of people complaining about this online but after installing HyperX Ingenuity, I can say that as of 2025, the RGB is very customizable and can achieve almost any look that you want. It's just that setting up the profiles in the software is not very intuitive. But it's just a one-time inconvenience that you can figure out in a few minutes. Now coming to the points that most reviews already mention: 1. Build quality is solid as they say. This is perhaps the only keyboard in this price range whose entire body is metallic (front and back) - feels very premium, heavy and durable compared to the ones with plastic backs. It is also nice that it has a detachable cable that can be replaced if it gets damaged after few years. 2. RGB looks beautiful and the animations are also very smooth. Only drawback is that the red color of the switches is slightly visible at the bottom so it might add some unwanted tint to the colors you select. 3. The keys sound good enough, but if sound is your only priority then I think you can find better options in this price range. But they would mostly be plastic as sound profile is also affected by the body material.

Excellent keyboard
Using the HyperX Alloy Origins Core Red Linear for the past 2 months and switches are amazing and responsive and has slight tactile feedback and build quality is another level on this keyboard and it is totally worth the price.

Perfect for the price. Double shot/Aqua switches
Tried the red linear version which was expensive but had some issues with it so got these aqua which were cheaper at the time and some rubber keycaps aswell. Complete setup cost around 5700 including those blue rubber keycaps. Must say there is less to no difference between the aqua and the linear reds. A mild tactile to the switch which felt really better. You won't feel anything between the linear and aqua if you're new to mechanical boards. No stab rattle fortunately, enter and shift key might sound a bit different but that's not a rattle. Sturdy build , detachable braided cable, compact size. No difference in sound from the reds. there's nothing much to expect in this price range. Best TKL at this range.

Trash brand, No proper service, HyperX durability trash
Bought HyperX Alloy Core PBT TKL keyboard Red Switch for gaming purpose. This was my first mechanical keyboard and it costed me 9000 bucks 11 months ago. Everything is fine on outside but this keyboard hardly works flawlessly for an year. In its 10 month it started giving issues as random keys stopped working every now and then Searched flon the web and came to know that this brands keyboard is plauged by such issues frequently I contacted their support and they aksied me to visit nearest service centre which is 80 kms from my house. LOL Even a 1500 rs membrane keypad works more than HyperX’s shit I really wldnt advise anyone to go for this brand. I am a very regular pc gamer and have tried so many brands till now but HyperX is a straight forward NO Going to buy a normal membrane keypad from now onwards. Even if i spend my whole day and go to service centre and get the piece replaced this thing has already spoiled all the experience. Nvr expected this from an e sports brand to be honest. Very bad

Great for gaming
It does what it's supposed to without the design/firmware defects that previous keyboards I've tried had. The TKL format is great for gaming, as it frees up space for the mouse. The keys are of the best shape whenever the size/format may vary (ex: some keyboards have a large enter key). It also has low latency. The keys are easy to remove with the included tool for when I want to clean it. I enjoy typing on it too.

Really impressed
After trying several competing products, this is likely the one I am keeping. Thoughts: 1. The LEDs are really bright. The only other company on par with this are the logitechs. The LEDs just look phenomenal and are true to color, unlike many competitors. 2. The alloy frame is solid and just screams quality. The only thing I don't like is that the keyboard is really thin overall. I prefer to use a wrist rest and I think it will be difficult to find one thin enough to truly match this keyboard's height. 3. The switches are really nice. I got the red linear and they are buttery smooth. They don't really thock but are relatively quiet. NZXT might be quieter but are higher pitched. steelseries was lower ptiched but very thocky, if you like that. 4. The pbt keycaps feel great but the legends on the the symbol keys look a little gamery and not really crisp (eg. ;: looks pretty trash). 5. The stabilizers are really the big problem. There is more lateral play than I would really like (my right shift is pretty wobbly) and they are really rattly. Such a stupid oversight for what is otherwise a really well thought out product, particularly since they chose to make it not hotswappable. 6. It's not hotswappable... I don't really want to swap the keys out, but it would be nice to have the freedom to do a little light modding like replacing the stabilizers with something that isn't trash. All in all, after trying several competitors-NZXT, steelseries, logitech, royalkludge-this is likely what I will keep. The tecware phantom+ is on backorder, so I haven't been able to do a comparison of that yet. Update: I followed a youtube tutorial on how to basically do a variant on the bandaid mod for this keyboard that significantly helped the stabilizer issue. While the stabilizers could use some lube, the main problem is that they are just way too loose on the top plate. I partially pulled up the stabilitzers by unclipping them from the top plate. Then, I cut some really thin strips of electrical tape and used some tweezers to feed them through the part where the clip is and then clamped the stabilizer down on top of the very end of the tape. This made the stabilizers more snug with the top plate and I think the rest of the tape is sort of under the stablizer and the padding it from the PCB. This has made it so the longer keys have a lot less play in them and they are also quieter. I am still trying to decide if I will use a syringe to inject some krytox on the stabilizer bar and maybe the housing. For now, this was a good enough fix and I recommend others give it a try.
