I have used various Puressentiel products so decided to give this a try when I couldn't shift a sinus infection. I also was experiencing some pain due to the cold weather so thought it was worth a go as I'm fond of the brand.The tube comes in a box so is protected during transit. The first thing I noticed when I opened it was the smell. Its packed with essential oils (all specially chosen) and reminded me of something my grandparents used to put on a tissue for me if unwell as a kid or a Vicks vapour stick. However much as the smell hit me immediately, it wasn't overwhelming. I dispensed a little of the balm, I felt it was more like a lotion, and massaged into my aches and pains. A little goes a long way with this so start with a small amount and add more if needed. I then massaged into my chest and throat and round my temples, and a tiny bit round my sinuses. Immediately after applying I was breathing in the fresh, comforting scents and felt like it was clearing my stuffy head. I could also feel warmth to the areas I'd applied, which surprised me as it smelt fresh and cooling.After a short time the pain began to ease as the warmth spread - ideal for a cold day. It's worth noting if you like products that heat on the skin this probably isn't for you; it's more of a gentle internal warmth that does the job without the burning feeling.I continued applying regularly throughout the day and found my head and sinuses clearing with the aromas. I also added a little around my nostrils as liked the smell. I also reapplied at bedtime and found when waking the next morning I was in much less pain and felt as though my cold / sinusitis was finally starting to shift. I was very pleased with this as it's not a strong scent like deep heat or vapour rub, but more subtle: you can still smell it and know you're breathing it in. What's more it was quite a light scent: some essential oils can leave me feeling quite heavy headed but not this - in fact it cleared my head.As well as the results I had for pain I found it was quite a comforting scent so for me quite calming.It's not the strongest topical I've used for pain relief, but it does give a nice warmth to the area (not a skin burning feeling like deep heat) and although I wasn't pain free it certainly lessened it. I found it more helpful for my head cold and sinuses as it helped to clear these and I felt I was breathing much more easily.Massaging it in it was well absorbed and went far. It didn't feel sticky or tacky on the skin after applying, (although it may have been had I touched it). Make sure you wash your hands after applying as I imagine rubbing your eye may not be a nice experience!I did feel that the scent could have been a little stronger as at times I thought it had worn off quite quickly, but when I sniffed I could actually still smell it. So it's not 'in your face' and is quite subtle. I'd also recommend using a mirror if applying to your face to ensure it doesn't get too close to the eyes. Remember a little goes far so don't use a giant splotch to start with.It's a great size of tube as well as will fit in most handbags, although I think it could benefit from a flip top lid rather than the screw top. All in all I was pleasantly surprised by how effective it was and how much I liked this as I usually opt for the much stronger smelling / feeling products. However this is as potent as many so is worth a go in my opinion. For head colds, headache (apply to forehead, temples and neck), aches and pains, and just feeling bone cold I'd highly recommend. (I can't mention the effect on cough as this is not something I've used it for yet). It didn't leave me feeling itchy after wearing off which is something I often get with topical preparations, and didn't redden the skin as can happen with some heating products. Given the contents of the tube and how far a little goes, I'd say it's very reasonably priced and I'd recommend.

I find this soothing all year round .i think it's pricey but it is organic.

I bought two tubes of the cream recently. It was very effective in removing her cough and the accompanying phelgm, which has been unsolvable in the past. I only rubbed the cream in once in the morning and at night. The last two I bought from AMAZON, at a much better price.

I expected this to be slightly stronger as its for adults, but it seems to be at a strength more suited for children. All the ingredients are good! The texture, application are all good, it was just the strength of the item that didn't help me,when i needed it to. Puressential products are normally EXCELLENT. What happened? I do not know? Maybe the flu i had was too strong??

This is really good and does bring gentle relief when your chest feels tight. Good to use before bed. Smells lovely, menthol type smell. Not a large tube though so won't last too long.

Love this. My go to product if I have a cold or feel a bit "chesty".

Absolutely ripped off. No effect at all. Could hardly smell. I found it cheaper and far more effective to add a few drops of olbas oil into a jar of cheap standard scentless cream or into an aqueous cream like E45 brand. The oilbas oil in any scentless cream that you add will work better than this over priced Cream! I am a chemist, use essential oils a lot and I had high hopes. Disappointed !
