The Hardy Boys Starter Set

Tracked these down for my son. I read them as a child and had hoped that they would have the same impact on him as they did on me. Not quite sure if that's the case as yet as I'm still reading them :))) but I can confirm that they are still are great read.From an almost innocent age when electronic toys were pretty non existent (ie the 70's) and when reading was a favoured pastime!Great service and prompt delivery from the States - cheaper than I could source here in the UK.

Excellent set of books which will appeal to all boys from 9 to 14. Very nicely presented too.

Lovely set of books about two brothers who solve mysteries. These are the first 5 books in the series. The box set itself is really lovely, traditional artwork on the covers, and all hardback, which I hadn't been expecting. My 10 year old son is enjoying these stories.

My grandson loves to read and I thought it would be nice for him to read some of the old type stories. This is a Christmas gift, so hopefully he will have hours of exciting reading!

I've chosen this product because when I was a kid, I loved reading the same five books that were in this starter set. I've lost the ones I had, so I ordered them.Soon, I'll order the others I do not know (60?), individually.

Utterly excellent reading for a 9 year old girl who's grown out of famous 5.

As noted before these were books a third party loved as a child and still likes them but sees their actions as more dangerous than they were in the 60's. These are mystery books, and the good guys always win.

The books are very good and kids will enjoy.

My son was sooooo happy when he got this set of books, he had been begging me for mystery books like the classic Nancy Drew, when I found these, with such a vintage look to them, I pounced on the occasion, and boy am I glad I did. We are pretty old school and my son doesn't do video gamesso this falls into the wonders of imagination. He falls asleep holding the book he's reading. It's a nice reading level that challenges him enough not to get him discouraged (not a picture book). They are a very nice quality especially for the price. I would definitely recommend them.
