Incredibly effective routines that are short enough to eliminate excuses! - Three DVDs with enough flexible variety to do a different twenty minute routine ever day for two weeks. (Excluding weekends, during which, phew, take a break! Or, grrr, go-for-it, do one of your longer DVDs!) CP is friendly, but to the point. She gets to it with no fuss, and the most direct and minimal “motivational” chit-chatter. And all with very clear instruction. (Though rather rubbish music; but pfft, who cares. Thankfully it’s not too loud.) She goes through a wide variety of moves (no time for boredom) targeting the whole body – and explaining them very well, making it extraordinarily easy to follow. She does move from one exercise to the other quickly though, so it does take a couple of watches to get used to the changeovers. It’s only twenty minutes a pop, and the routines are not hugely difficult (and even easier to modify if you’re a complete beginner ... but that’s a personal choice, not an option offered by CP). That means you easily convince yourself it’ll be over soon and is absolutely worth doing regularly, and doing well. The routines are fun, and put together in a way that really make that short time count for your whole body; that really does make all the difference. You’ll need a mat, and some hand weights (real, or soup tins from the kitchen). And twenty minutes. That’s all! Have fun! Review: Challenging but easy to follow - best workouts I've found! - These DVDs have replaced Elle Macpherson ('The Body') as my favourite workout(s)! All three workouts are challenging yet easy to follow. Caroline doesn't talk while she's exercising, but she narrates over the top of it. It's a little odd at first, but it works really well, and she's very clear. It's not cheesy, or overly peppy (that really winds me up in a fitness DVD!), and she explains which muscles are being worked as she goes through. It's also set outside in a beautiful location (Fuerteventura), which is so much more interesting to watch than someone jumping around in a studio! You don't need much space in your lounge to do this DVD. She doesn't move about very much, and stays on or close to her mat. You'll need a pair of hand weights (I use 1.5kg), as a lot of the moves are combined with weights for maximum benefit. I like the variety of the moves - it doesn't ever get boring - and you can really feel it working. I think beginners might struggle at first, but I've done this with some friends (at various levels of fitness) and they all said this was the best DVD they've done. You definitely see a change quite quickly if you do these regularly, and each time you feel yourself being able to do slightly more and push harder. My favourite is total body sculpt which focuses on toning and shaping - it's tough but it's good! The only criticism I have is that she moves really quickly between the moves - transitioning between standing up/floor work - but it's not a big problem. There's also a yoga-inspired cool down on one of the discs, and having never done yoga/pilates before in my life I found that a little difficult. Overall, these workouts are absolutely fantastic! I've struggled to find anything else as good at this ('The Body' comes close - but it's not as challenging).

Sprained my thumb! :(
As other reviewers have mentioned the change over between moves are far too quick and it all feels a bit too frenetic. This resulted in me spraining my thumb as I slipped on my hand whilst going from a standing position to floor work too quickly. I ended up in A&E and it took ages to heal. This put me off the dvds but I urge others to take care when doing the workouts.

Fabulous... love Jillian Michaels but this is the Ying to her Yang!
I am a huge Jillian Michaels fan, but this is the ying to her yang! Jillian helped me lose three stone and get in the shape of my life, but I felt that some of the exercises made me too bulky....Mind you, it took about a year to get to that stage....so don't fret if you're just starting out! I still love Jillian's dvds and would highly recommend them all.... Caroline is different while still being a bit of the same (it can be tough at times), but I felt my shape improved enormously...I felt that her workouts left me looking way more feminine, with a better shape overall. (leaner, rather than bulky muscle) I highly recommend these dvds...anyone who says they are too easy isn't getting the point. This lady has a phd in fitness, and the results, after 8 weeks, totally vindicate her training method.. I am really impressed with the results.....go for it...you won't be disappointed.

Good exercises but I find the change overs are too ...
Good exercises but I find the change overs are too quick and I do wish Caroline would at least try and look as if she is working up a bit of a sweat doing the routines. Not my favourite exercise DVD.

Not impressed...
These dvd's would suit a beginner/intermediate exerciser. I do like Caroline as an instructor, however, as an advanced exerciser I didn't find the workouts enough of a challenge.

One word..........FANTASTIC!
Fantastic set of DVDs. I love working out in my spare time, and these discs deliver more than what you pay for which was a nice surprise. Caroline keeps you pushing throughout the workouts and reminds you of when to push a little harder which sometimes I can forget or feel like slowing up when it gets tough. You can do as many different sets of workouts from different discs so you don't get bored or to fit into the amount of time you have that particular day. I do hope Caroline comes up with a few more DVDs to follow on soon, I would be one of the first to purchase. Thank you Caroline.

Total body collection caroline pierce

Nice to meet you Caroline!
I signed on for a 7 day free trial of yoga and fitness dvd's on amazon. This is a bit different from the be fit subscription as many of these dvds appear to be produced in the UK. I watched and tried some of Caroline's workouts because they appeared to be of reasonable length and very do-able. They did not disappoint! As an avid exerciser and owner of many, many fitness dvd's I'm quite picky regarding trainers and programs. I found Caroline to be at first, an inspiration as I strive to have a build such as she does. She looks healthy and fit yet not too thin. Very impressive physique. Second, the dvd's are not only very do-able as mentioned before, but offer room to improve by adding more weight and or by doing the advanced option of the exercise when applicable. Third (and very important to me) Caroline is very likeable. Her personality and demeanor is pleasant. I didn't find her annoying in any way as I have found several instructors in the past to be. Lastly having college degrees in sports fitness and physiology/nutrition, along with her participation in heptathlon sports tells me she is the real deal and knows what she's doing.... not just some chick with a hot bod selling dvd's. I can really, really appreciate that! And, she's a gladiator!!! Although I have not worked out to each dvd yet (by the way, 3 for 19.99 is a steal) I am really looking forward to it ...as well as the results I hope to get. I will come back and update this review after a while, but for now I'm glad I found this hidden gem!
