A great book I recommend it for right plus readers but I also think Shannon is sort of a model saying it's ok to be different

Enjoyed it. It's like a daily cup of coffee... few highs or lows but familiar.

It is a heart warming tale of a young girl called Shannon who faces the trouble of making friends. It helps you reflect on how you treat others and how to "put yourself in other people shoes" It is also important that you stay true to yourself and don't let the bullies of this life get you done.

Real Friends is a mixture of comedy and what might happen in real life. The message from the story is, “no matter where you are you will always have friends, even if they are not you’re closest one’s.” + “Never give up because, after all, after something bad happens, a good one follows.”

I've read all Raina Telgemier's books and I was looking for something new and found this book. I really like it and read it so fast, I was sad when I finished it so I got BEST friends which is the next one.

Was a good preparation for an 11 year old homeschooled girl that was about to start at an ordinary school.
