Prob gonna get crap for this question. How does this compare to Gillete Mach 3? as mild or a "hair" more aggressive? just as head shave friendly?

haha no crap, no worries my friend. The Twig can provide you a nice clean, close shave. As far as safety razors go it's not a overtly-aggressive shaver, so it does make for a nice easy transition because it's so forgiving to technique. If you're head-shaving, you might want to take a look at our pivoting-head razor, The Leaf razor, that's probably the GOAT of head shaves, but as a fellow dome-shaver I also do bring out my Twig for a head shave every now and then. So if the more traditional fixed-head razor is what you think you might be interested in trying, then you should be really happy with The Twig razor. - Adam

Can I let this razor soak in rubbing alcohol?

We don't recommend soaking our razors for a long time in anything, but dunks and 'short stays' isn't an issue! For example for a deep clean we suggest a 5-10 minute bath in diluted white vinegar if you have tough soap or hard water residue. And I do usually finish a deep clean with a dunk in rubbing alchohol, for between 30 and 60 seconds (which should be plenty of time to do it's thing). Hope this helps! - Adam

Does this come with the magnetic base?

Hello! The Twig razor has an embedded magnetic feature in the head that helps locate and load the blade when loading. The Twig stand isnt' magnetic, but is available as a separate product (if you search for Twig Razor Stand you should find it). Without the stand, the razor still stands up-right on it's own as the bottom is flat. I hope this helps!
