It does the job, it is not very well made and will break easily, this is the second headset I bought as the one that came with my Xbox broke and then the second one broke only a few months after. I did upgrade to the Bluetooth headset which is much better than this version. If you want a cheap headset sure go for it, if you want one that is going to last then I would go for a better quality one.

For all of those people that are unsure whether to buy thi product, and are thinking of buying the cheaper option...DON'T. This is exactly what it says on the box, it is an official Xbox 360 headset, made by microsoft. Before I bought this product I was worried it wasn't an official one, no worries, it is official:) Also other comments said it didn't fit through the letter box, that did happen with mine, but when I got home a found on my welcome matt a card from amazon. As the package was too big to fit through the door we put your product in your recycling bin at the bottom of the drive:) So even though I wasn't at home they still put it in a safe place where people can't see it. So you know it's in good hands:) Very good product works great with awesome sound quality, very impressed, good efficient service 5 STAR:D

Ordered this item as a gift.I ordered this specific one for 3 reasons:-1) it was genuine Xbox merchandise2) it came in genuine Xbox packaging (according to the picture)3) it was sold by Amazon with super saver delivery.When it arrived in was in a flimsy clear plastic bag, with no indication whatsoever that it was genuine Xbox.There was no box or other genuine Xbox packaging. For all we knew it may have been fake Xbox merchandise, or a refurbished item. Not at all suitable to give as a gift.When I tried to contact the seller (bid2win-ltd) by searching google for contact details, I got through to someone's house with young kids screaming and tv blaring in the background (very professional - really makes you feel you're dealing with a reputable company!!) and their description on google is 'second-hand goods retailer' !!!So, all in all not a good experience. I did return item to Amazon for full refund, and then had to purchase at twice the price on the high-street, but well worth it to know I'm receiving a brand new and genuine item.I would give NO STARS for this review if the option was available.

Bought this headset because mine broke, works perfectly fine for xbox live, only thing that can annoy me is the wire, i always pull it out leaning for something, but if u dont want tht ur gotta pay have too 30 quids for a wireless one and who wants to do that!!! also you will have to replace these, they dont last over a year i would say, but they are cheap so u can gamble n buy maybe 3 in 3 years or buy a wireless one that could break, but ive heard they are very good, but as i said these are more expensive..

5 stars because it was exactly what I expected - it's the same as the original headset that came with my Xbox. Works fine and I'm able to talk with my friends in party chat.The headset came in a plastic bag, cushioned by paper. Note that it did not come in an official Xbox 360 box, as the image suggests. However, the headset has the Xbox 360 logo on the side of the microphone, and a holographic sticker on the mute switch (the same as my original one) - so it seems legit.At £6.50, I would highly recommend to others. I'd rather pay a few extra quid to know that I'm getting an official one, rather than a 3rd party one.

Very cheap headset but it is worth it for the price, it works great but it is very flimsy and it will definitely break a lot faster than a more expensive headset. It’s good as a substitute if you can’t afford a proper headset straight away for example. It may not fit your head if you have a big head though so bare that in mind.

So the mic isn't really the sharpest tool in a shed but the important thing is that it works and i can speak to my friends on xbox 360!
