Bought this for a costume for the Renaissance Festival and I was expecting more of a prop than a functional piece for the price - the craftsmanship on this axe is way better than I expected. The festival has several blacksmiths that make axes you can buy, with prices starting at $400 for a basic axe that doesn't look or feel anywhere close to as good as this one. Of course, you're paying that price because it's a hand-forged weapon made in the US one at a time and because of it, maybe the metal may be of better quality... But $50 for an axe that compared to the ones they had in the $800 range is a steal. This axe is heavy, well-made and is plenty sharp enough to actually cut something.The only gripe I have with it is that I feel like the belt loop should be reversed. The rivets are at the top of it and mounting it hanging this way is difficult to keep stress off the leather at the wrong point and I assume it will eventually wear and tear because of it. If the loop was mounted the opposite way, so the rivets were at the bottom and it hung at the actual loop, it would be much more durable and hang correctly on a belt. Still, for the price, you can't really complain. Definitely well worth the cost!

The axe is crafted very and the art work is beautiful. The axe is functional however I choose to display it because if the art. The axe head is properly sharp, the handle fits in the hand comfortably, and the balance is spot on. Not to repeat myself, but the handle, if the axe is used would allow for chopping all day with no blisters due to decorative details. Enjoy!

This thing is awesome!It exceeded my expectations.

The media could not be loaded. The detail work was painted on, when it was made to appear as an etching. There are also some minor defects like small rust spots and paint or stain splatter. The handle feels solid, and it seems well built. Blade is rough and uneven. After a bit of TLC should be functional.

This Axe is not worth even 20$. Emblem on axe was not glued on. The axe head itself was barley attached. The handle was painted sloppy with cheap acrylic paint. I love God of war and I was very disappointed with this purchase.

I bought this for my sons birthday . Im very impressed ! Will do whatever you demand of it , very solid hatchet .

I just got this today. The beard on the axe is warped, and there is a secondary bevel at the top. Just at the top. With chips in the blade itself.100$ waste of money and the amount of work I have to put into it not to make it useful.Not recommended for anything, do better.
