Six months of perfect scootering and still going, and I weight 220lbs
I'm 62 and have about a 5 block walk from where I park my car to where I work. The walk would be good for me, but scootering is so much faster, both in the morning if I'm running a little late and in the evening when I'm ready to get home.Rentable scooters are on every corner (Bird, Lime, Bolt) but those charges add up, so about a year ago I bought a EZScooter PR570 that was doomed from the start (arrived broken, continued to break, vendor unresponsive) and a few months later, it was junk metal.Trying to stay within the same $200± range, I decided to take a chance on the known name of Schwinn, despite the 3.2 out of 5 ratings. Other than I wish it had a headlight, the Schwinn Tone 3 has been ideal. I'm not looking to race it, or do tricks with it, I only want to get my overweight body from point A to point B, which it has effectively done for the last six months.I can't rate the battery life because I leave it charging every day while I'm working, and have never ridden it for more than about a mile (on an errand). But I can say that it's motor pulls my weight along the slight incline towards my office at slightly faster than a brisk walk and on the return trip the momentum is such that I must use the electric brake at intersections (there is a manual foot brake on the rear wheel but I prefer flicking my thumb on the handlebar control). So far, nothing has broken, fallen off or performed in any way other than perfect. The Schwinn Tone 3 gets a 5 star review from me!

Tail Light falls out
The thing is a total blast and I love it BUT!!!I took it for a ride and when i returned the tail light was missing....I went back and retrced my steps and was lucky enough to find it soI placed it back and tightened it all nice and went for another ride only to come back and find it missing again. How 'bout they make an electric scooter where the tail light doesnt just fall off from normal use...It pisses me off because now I have to go through the HASSLE of trying to find another and it actujally staying on the scooter and NOT falling off AGAIN . i MEAN, i CANT BE CONSTANTLY LOOKING BACK AT IT TO MAKE SURE ITS STILL THERE. The thing didn't work anyway. When I applied the back break, it would just flash for a nano-second, so, why even have one??? I took it apart and it stands alone frome the bike meaning it has a battery and is not at all wired to the bike... The rear tail light is triggered by a tiny cylinder with a spring in the middle so when it gets jolted, it flashes for a nano second. UPDATE! I was riding it the other day and it just turned off on me and now it won't charge!!! DONT BUY A SCHWINN SCOOTER!!!!! SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE!!!!

A Bang for your buck!
For the price is a great deal! Comes with a charger, some tools, & all manuals to help get started right out the box! After fully charged, about 3 hrs, It will run me 10-15 mins or 1.4 miles & only use one of four battery indicators on the display.Very user friendly, Power button & Mode button. Straight forward.Hold power to power on, press M (Mode) to switch between speeds.I love that it's a "kick to start" kind of set up. I won't accidentally hit the throttle while standing still possibly losing control or letting the unit run off with out me.Seems like a very durable build. Great quality for the money.Mind the bumps!!This thing will eat every bump you come across..Overall, a fun & convenient transportation for getting around your local Hotspots downtown or just riding around your neighborhood.

Do NOT waste your money or time!
The scooter would not take a charge from day one. I called customer service. They acted like it was somehow my fault in the beginning. I jumped through all off there hoops, sending pictures, sending videos, POP multiple times and they kept giving me the run around until I flipped out on them (professionally). They then asked me to send back. Well, It cost over $100 to send back, and it had to be specially picked up because it was a product with a large battery. I called back and said I would not send back because the product cost around $150. It made no sense. They finally sent me a refund after I kept calling, and I kept the scooter which I ended up giving away to someone who repairs electronics as a hobby. I felt that Schwinn new the product was defective, put it on sale, and shipped it out, not caring about the fact that the customer just made a purchase in good faith. I have boycotted Schwinn and all there related companies. I would advise anyone buying an electric scooter to go elsewhere. This is by far the worst on-line/Amazon purchase I have ever made.

Good scooter for the price
Not a bad scooter at all for the price! The setup was straightforward and the scooter went at the advertised speed. Only downsides are that it doesn’t do too great uphill and the battery life is a bit on the lower side, but if you’re strapped for cash and need a decent scooter, this is definitely a great option.

So far so good
Works great so far. Been about 3 weeks. Charge could last longer. After about 4 trips +\- 3 miles its at the last bar and the speed exponentiallt decreases with charge levelHowever for me i just use it to go a short distance. Only needed to charge once a week and i use it everydaySucks on hills, need to kick. Takes a minute to get to full speed. Brakes fine.Decent for the price

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY
Gosh I could go on and on and on about this company. We thought since we were purchasing a name-brand we would get name-brand quality. ABSOLUTELY NOT. We received 3 scooters total and ALL of them were defective. They refused to refund us they would only ship new scooters out. Then when we got the 3rd defective one we decided we were done and they expected us to ship back the other one on our dime in order to get a refund. These things are SO heavy. I couldn't even imagine the cost to ship it back. TOTAL waste of time and money.
