Draw 50 Birds: The Step-by-Step Way to Draw Chickadees, Peacocks, Toucans, Mallards, and Many More of Our Feathered Friends

My child loves to draw, even though admittedly is not yet very good at it. This book has shown the way to better drawing skills in a step-by-step way. There is nothing "cartoon-ish" about the drawings, as they are realistic portayals, which is what my child is striving for. Not too difficult though, for a younger child either. My 8-year-old absolutely loves all the books in this series. They don't involve much reading at all. Each pictures shows many steps from beginning to end, not just a few.

My talented 7 year old niece has had it about a year and really enjoyed it. She has made excellent drawings of birds, and from the experience has really developed her ability to look at component parts and details needed in to make a drawing look "real". My own children, who had no interest in drawing, would not have had the patience for it.

Good book, but a bit more advanced than Dover How to Draw Animals. Good for secondary stage of learning to draw.

Ames books in our elementary school library the kids love them. I took one home to try my hand at drawing a cat and was amazed by the results. The instructions (pictures very little to zero text) are simple enough for the kids to handle. The results are not childish. It's a process that makes the steps clear and depending on your ability the end result will be something an adult can be proud to display.

Bought it for my son's birthday - didn't give it to him yet as his birthday didn't arrive. Book looks great. Simple illustrations but the birds have detail when finished. I'm sure he is going to love this. I think I might even be able to draw some of these.

My 8 year old daughter loved this book! She is a bird finatic. She did say that she would prefer more of her favorites in it and that there was a poor sampling of the mourning dove. If your child needs something to keep busy and likes birds, you will be happy you bought this book.

This is a good basic drawing book. I was looking for something a little more detailed but this book is good at helping lay the foundations.

Existem diversas plataformas c cursos online gravados que são muito baratos. Recomendo.

years ago I purchased "draw cars, trucks and motor cycles" for my (then) 9 year old son, and I was so impressed with the instructions I bought "draw 50 cats" and "draw 50 dogs" for myself. I enjoyed them, and learned a lot too, but, I left drawing aside for years, and recently found this on amazon. It is very user friendly, the illustrations are wonderful and the instructions are as though Lee Ames is right in the room with you.This is a basic drawing instruction book, but it got me interested in drawing all over again.I read at the back of the book that Mr. Ames died a few years ago, but, his gentle way of instruction made an impression on my son and on me.

Don't buy.... not worth buying...very costly and not at all satisfactory...it should rate 100/
