Another Fabulous Success Story!!!!
I love reading Cathy’s fostering stories (and Lisa Stone’s fabulous fiction!) and I’ve been reading so long I feel like I’ve “seen” her family grow up into such fabulous adults! You are such an inspiration- and I wish our social services stories were more like the UK!!!

Good read
Another good book from Cathy.Left me uneasy about the future of Lara and baby. Also with numerous questions about the Care system failing Lara. Thank goodness for Cathy and all her hard work and understanding for them both. An amazing foster carer!

Love her!
I really don’t like to say this but I was disappointed. I don’t know….. I expected more. A more problematic foster child, one that Cathy could rescue. I read Part 3 in one evening. Was it really that short? I’ll have to look up how many pages it was.Well, ignore me….Cathys writing is very good and she’s a wonderful foster cared. You did great with Lara.God bless.

patronising woman
I usually like Cathy Glass books but in this one I thought she came across awfully! Incredibly patronising about parenting and seemed to put the young mother down about every tiny little thing. Sometimes about things that lots of parents do! Like having toddlers in the kitchen. Sometimes we all have to multitask. I had a toddler who would not be put down, If I didn't cook some nights with him on my hip, no one would be fed. She often paints herself as parent of the year and comes across as very smug and right in her opinion. She judged and encouraged this young mother to quit smoking but openly admits she smoked herself for years. While the young mother did need guidance and support, I did not like Cathy's attitude.

Brilliant read
Loved this book and as a recently retired foster carer it is very true to life, shows that support and care can change lives.Highly recommend this book and all Cathy Glass books, once I start reading a book I don't want to put it down.

When did Cathy become so judgemental?
I've felt the last few Cathy Glass books have not been as enjoyable (if that's a word you can apply to foster care memoirs....) they have felt rushed and full of filler. I particularly noticed in this one that Cathy has become very judgemental. Judges Lara because she drinks and smokes, won't give the homeless man money as she thinks it will go on drink and drugs. Patronising a 20 year old woman by telling her to turn her phone off at night. I used to really like these books but as she churns them out I'm beginning to like them less.

Another beautiful story!
I have read all of Cathy’s books and they are all excellent heartwarming stories, this one was no exception! I think it has been beautifully written and as a result couldn’t put it down ! Looking forward to the next book to be released which I will also be buying. Cathy Glass is an amazing lady for what she does and everyone she helps and is a national treasure in my opinion. Bravo!

Another breathtaking view into the world of fostering
Learning about Lara, Arthur and Fraizer's story is brillantly written, i love how cathy has such a way a writing that makes me believe its more like a friend telling me a story rather than reading. As always i couldnt put this book down when i started it, and am keen to read the next one when it comes out!
