A great introduction to natural magick...
Let me first say that I am an adult in my 30's, and even though this was written for teens, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and learned so much from it. I have read many, many books on witchcraft (Cunningham, Ravenwolf, Cabot, etc.) but "Elements of Witchcraft" is one of my favorite introductions to natural magick. Witchcraft is explained very clearly in a down to earth way. Yes, the author sometimes mentions things related to teens like homework or parents, but it's really not an issue reading it as an adult. Ellen Dugan gives some great practical exercises (raising power, creating protective shields) and wonderful meditations. She goes through each of the four elements in detail, discusses ethics, and talks about tree/flower magick, goddesses and gods, circle casting, witches tools and more. She has quickly become one of my favorite witchy authors, and I have gone on to read several more of her books, which have also been fantastic.

Great Condition, Informative Wiccan Perspective
I bought mine used and it is in great condition. A friend recommended the book to me since I'm curious of the craft. It's very informative and from a Wiccan perspective. The book is written wonderfully and easy to follow. I do not regret this as my first witchcraft reference.

Natural Magic for All
This book is titled to include teens but it is a good starting point for any age. Ellen's writing style is conversational and engaging. She gives rationales that tie in history and lore. I wish I had this book back in 1975 when I began my own journey: the Path would have been far better illuminated and a bit less rocky.
