Confidence
They don’t have enough confidence in themselves or each other even after they made love. Communication is key and if Owen had communicated to Louisa she would have know and not just jump to conclusions. I don’t like how when the story is going to end that you jump so far ahead of their lives don’t tell that story. I have loved all of these stories by Alexa! Thanks

Simply Delightful!
"Lord Danby had to be the most devastatingly handsome man she had ever met." Thus was Louisa's first meeting with Owen and it escalated from there!A wonderful addition to this delightful series as the second sons of aristocrats, become head of their families. Each of the heroes were in the war together and strong friends and as each find them in their new positions, each finds a wife.Owen was determined to continue to sow his wild oats for awhile and eventually settle down. Louisa had been a helpmate to her father, who was involved with aspects of the war and very intelligent. While wanting to marry and have a family, she could not tolerate the men who could not accept she was no simpering miss!As these two are thrown together, it is evident, a strong spark is building, so sit back and enjoy the journey!

Owen & Louisa
I’ve been enjoying this series of Second Sons of London very much. This is for the 3rd friend Owen who was a soldier with his 4 mates. As in the first books 📕 he is sent home from the Army because he inherited his Estate on the death of his older brother. Louisa is one of the 3 cousins and she meets H at a House Party given by one of the couples. They are immediately attracted and so begins their falling in love throughout the Party. Owen is a was a true Rake and has no intentions of marrying anytime soon. Louisa is wanting to marry asap and eventually Changes his mind and steamy 🔥🔥 passion ensues. There is no dark themes and it is a lighthearted lovely book with likable characters. Can’t wait to read the next book 📕 in the series.

Enjoyable Story
Second sons serve in the military, unless…Like two of his friends before him, Major Owen Hasbury is called home to England to inherit his family’s title. He is the new Earl of Danbury. He intends enjoy himself and sow his wild oats for a few years before he marries and sets up his nursery. Louisa Goulding has taken care of her father’s household and been his hostess since her mother died. She would like to marry and have a family, but the season, her only one, was not kind to her. Even though they are taken with each other when they meet at Ev’s estate, they do not suit, do they? The plan is that Owen will help her find a suitable match. In the meantime, her cousin Addie has another plan, match Louisa and Owen. Which plan wins? This an entertaining addition to the Second Sons series. Characters from the first two books are here and add to the fun. The hero and heroine are intelligent and stubborn, and whether they like it or not, perfect for each other. The story is fun with a bit of trouble, but things work out the way they should. Enjoyable story, wonderful characters, happy ending. I recommend it.I received an ARC of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. My review is voluntary.

Like it but for the finish
I ate this fictional delight in a day or so. I just am disappointed in part of the ending. It was a little over the top.

Good
This is a good book with great characters. I have enjoyed all the characters in the series and look forward to the next couple in the next book of this series.

Nice read
I enjoyed this one because it was just romance. The crux of the story centered around a military man deeming he deserved time to play after his service in the war and learning to handle his new responsibilities as the reining lord of the family legacy with its expected responsibilities. A young woman past her prime, at 24 🤷🏾♀️, wanting to start her own family life. Willing to forego the whole happily ever after and willing to settle for happy and content as long as she had a couple of babies.A little expected confusion. No angst. Nice enough amount if heat. I did wonder if the secondary characters get together?Good read: Easy and medium quick.

Great continuation of the series
The third book in this series finds Owen, a career Army officer, unexpectedly facing the task of becoming an Earl. This is an entertaining romance between two people who are not interested in marriage. The author has created a strong character in Louisa whom I really liked. Owen I found a bit harder to like. His rakish attitude was understandable given his many years in the army fighting the French but it was less endearing. I love how this is a standalone book but is extra enjoyable if you have the read the other books in the series. I especially appreciate that we get to closely follow up on the two couples and their families from the previous books. This book also contains one of my favourite things, a heartwarming epilogue. All in all, this is another great read in this series.

Meh
I'm on the fence about this one. I liked the characters but it was maddening to watch them stumbling about especially with her waffling between this one and that one. Just kiss him and be done. Not to mention the goofs. Did she or did she not kiss Ev in the last story? It is never addressed. Is the baby seven months or six? Both are claimed in the same chapter yet. And there didn't seem to be any continuous conflict. Nice ending. That's all I can say.

Just ok
The books in this series follow a formula that was boring the first time around and doesn't get better with the next version. This story had a bit more of a plot than the first two, so that's positive.Aston also writes lack luster passion/sex scenes. They are lacking in detail and tension build up. All the women appear to be able to have orgasms very quickly and without the clitoris involved, which is rare and leaves the scenes feeling juvenile and incomplete.

Not as good, why the porn
I usually enjoy this author, apart from her need to add descriptive sex. It does not add one single iota to the romance porn is not romance. Other than that I quite enjoyed this book but not as much as the other 2 in the series. It didn't grab my attention so instead of it taking me a couple of days it took a month to get through the book and it felt like a chore

Strong hero, super woman
Every single character is exceptional and the story is enhanced by them. Owen thought he wanted a life of fun and freedom but thankfully Louisa was able to show him differently.
