The product works as advertised. I'm a happy camper.I started with dark grey 4.25" tiles (original tiles from 1958). They are now white with an orange peel texture. looks like new. Brought my bathroom in to 2023.One thing I learned was that it's critical to sand the surface prior to applying the product. Because I didn't, there were some minor adhesion issues with what they call "fish eyes". Basically, there is a problem with uniform adhesion when the surface isn't prepped properly. The other issue was that the roller tends to "shed" tiny pieces of rubber. Easy fix... After letting the 1st of 2 applications dry over night I used a palm sander with 100 grit sand paper to prep for the second coat. I then did the second application and It turned out perfect.

I should have read the low ratings before purchasing as everything about this horrible product is true. I read every instruction and watched every video available regarding prep and application. In spite of my backbreaking work and sweat, the product did not stick and beaded up with runs.I ruined my tub and surround and now have to pay 2-2.5k for a whole new install.I was hoping Amazon would refund for the misleading advertizing but insisted that I return the product stuck on my ruined tub! Ugh! BTW, I am an experienced DIY person. As a side note, it is impossible for 1 person to complete a tub and surround before this stuff starts to set up. Ekopel should provide a 38 with a short barrel to "finish the job".

Update! I contacted a professional refinisher to redo the terrible outcome from this product. $299 to refinish (plus $50 to strip this product off.) $299 well spent in my opinion as it comes with a pro instal and warranty!! A much better value than messing up your house up trying to make this product look good. Price a contractor before you make the mistace I did!!I flip houses for a living so I am always looking for the least expensive route. This was not the first tub/surround we have refinished. This product is NOT cheap and was purchased because we were working on a condo and liked the fact that that this was odorless or close to it. It was used on a white tub and white surround. Final outcome after second coat was mostly white walls with a VERY thick look in most places. The tub on the other hand never turned the same color as the tile and look like it has a thick clear finish showing the spots that we were trying to cover. Same paint, same timeframe, same roller. completely different look all 2 coats. I guess what I am trying to say is for the cost of this brand, hire a professional to refinish everything because the outcome will be MUCH better than this product can accomplish. I do not know what the longevity is on this, but if I have to guess, probably not more than a year or so due to how thick it is on everything, but I do not know. There are many other products out there that do the same thing for less. get those instead and pass on this one.

outside of the instructions to mix thoroughly, the instructions say to wait two hours before applying a second coat. this is impossible as it starts to setup in about two hours. Prep your tile and get ready to roll it on, quickly. if you go with a thick coat on the first pass it will drip and run so you will have to go back over it to smooth it out. I applied one coat in about two hours, then waited as the instructions say, but that was a MISTAKE!, as it was setting up and I could not roll on or brush on the second coat. I had to buy a second kit for the second coat and that began to setup after two hours and when i finally got to the shower pan, it was firming up and not going on smoothly.It seems to be drying as a hard surface, but its only been 24 hours.If you use this be prepared to put it on fast but again, not to thick as it will run.

Having the roll on option makes the 2K product DIY friendly. I followed the cleaning prep instructions as seen on the videos and had no issues with the product adhering. After two coats and the product dried I was truly pleased how the finish is hard but smooth to the touch. I have showed the finish product to several people and they are now considering using it. What a great product.

This came in a 2 pack one pack I used and its just fine and the other pack is dried out I cant not use it. Customer service was horrible was transferred like 5 times. What a nightmare!! In the end no resolution. Shame on you Amazon!!!!!

I watched all the videos and seemed to have followed all of the instructions to the T. My tub surround walls never leveled out and now my tub is completely ruined. I tried sanding and buffing but just could not get it to the point where it looked half decent. Very disappointed and now I am out the $300 and now have to replace the tub. Also tried calling the support line and was not able to get through to anyone.

Decided to go a different route and cost $50 to return!!!! Don’t buy this product unless your sure you won’t be returning.
