Q: Are there any recommendations on a foldable table that will work with this table top?

Hello, it is suitable for tables over 46" in length and width.

Q: What is the best size round table and best size square table to fit under this without the base table sticking out?

I have a 45" round table that I put this on. Even though it sticks out a bit, you don't really notice. The poker table is very stable. But if you wan t to be on the safe side, have at least 50 inch round table. Not sure about a square table.
