Single layer is knitted tight enough to not see thru it when it's on. It has a cuff built in that I double over for a fit that's not slouchy with bottom just above eyebrows / top of ears. Can roll down to just one layer of folded cuff to be slouchy or to cover ears.Fits well on my 23.5" head.It's plenty warm around 35 to 40f sitting around. will work great in my sleeping bag as a night cap. Can easily fold cuff over eyes. doesn't itch or irritate my skinHas two inside tags about 3.25 x 1.25 located in the front. Bunches up under hat. I'll be cutting them out.I'd say this is best for cool days or as a sleeping hat. If your going to be outside in the cold ice fishing or in a blind/stand below freezing this won't be warm enough. Get a double layered hat that's more tightly knitted.

It's a lil small

I've been looking for a warm, contour fitting cap for two years! Call it a night watchman's cap, a fisherman's cap, call it whatever you want, this cap is beautifully made of premium wool, thickly woven (no slouching here) gorgeous assortment of colors, and last but not least, it is made with pre-folds (I don't know how they do this but it's genius), so you can wear it three ways. I'm ordering two more today!

I have had the Khaki for over 2 years and it's still in great shape. I bought the Green and Blue about a year ago and the material is not the same. Both started fading and now they have shrunk significantly after washing them. The Khaki remains strong and never shrinks. It's perfect and I wish the others were made with the same materials.

I ordered this in hopes that it was just decent enough for a few outfits that I needed a fisherman style beanie for. This is actually very nice and warm and I often fold it down to keep my head and warm when I’m outside. Will def order in more colors eventually.

I contacted the vendor twice to get a replacement to an email that came attached to the item and no reply whatsoever.Update: Seller contacted me via private email but not solution was offered.
