This is a quality charger for the buck
Had the same problem everyone complains about not getting the app to work because it only supports 2.4 ghz. I have the best cox Panoramic modem and it has 2.4 and 5.0 auto band support but could never get the wifi working on the charger. I started thinking outside the box, never had this problem before and I have 24 items connected to the modem which runs 2.4 and 5.0 bands with ease. So, I bought a super cheap wifi booster ($19) that is 2.4 only and bingo, problem solved and I plugged it in the laundry room which was close by. I’m thinking this charger is an older device, (2018 or before) and wasn’t compatible with the new automatic high speed modems. Anyways, the charger is great and I hard wired it. It was tight on room wiring but I made it work. The connection cord is commercial style quality, not cheap.

Great quality; Easy to install; Fast Charging
Installation was easy, just follow the video instruction. It works great and cuts the charging time in half compared to the 110 cord that came with my car.It is easy to use because of the wifi capability and I can quickly check and control the charging status from my phone at any time.In addition they have customer service ,and it comes with good warranty in case you need it.Highly recommend

Works as it’s supposed to.
I’m totally satisfied with this charger. I only use basic features. I have had it for almost 1 yr now. I plug it in, swipe the card reader and it charges. I don’t have the app on my phone, I keep it simple. I’m sure there’s more that can be done with this but I’m totally satisfied with this product.

Can not get the Apps to talk to the device
This review has been updated (see comments added at end). The user's manual that comes in the box, explains there are 2 apps required. The first App is needed, just to get the EV Charger onto your network. There is an alternate method the getting the EV Charger hooked into your home network that doesn't require the first app. I have tried both methods and (the one where the app is not required and using the app). I tried them multiple times ensuring I followed the steps carefully. But to no avail. I cannot seem to get the Charges to connect to my network. For both methods the manuals are close, but fail to depict the user interface correctly. Using the Web (method 1), the manual shows a "restart" button. But alas there isn't one to be found on the page. There are however 2 "reset" buttons" but all that does is reset the configuration information back to the default values. Using the App (method 2), there are 2 options at the beginning, I have tried them both with no success. I enter the home network password, press the button on the EV Charger, then the confirm button/link in the app, but no connection is made. After a while of listening to the charge beeping, nothing... nada... zip.Apparently you need this first step to be successful in order to use the WE E-Charge App to control the charging.UPDATES: After failing to get the Apps to work, I simply tried to charge the car. At first I didn't succeed. But after a couple of attempts, and for no reason that I can discern, I can now get this charger to charge my car. As the car itself has a tool to schedule the charging (so it can be done in the off peak hours) and the Car's App will tell me the charge level, I feel I don't need the App(s) defined in the MaXpeedingrods manual. Accordingly, I have updated my rating for this product from a 1-star to a 4-star. I would have given it a five if I didn't have all those hassles trying to get it to work in the first place.

Timer Function Doesn’t Work
If all you want to do is plug in and charge, then I guess it would be okay, but if you need any advanced functions, this is not the charger for you. The app is terrible but the real problem is that there is no way to have scheduled charging. It doesn’t matter whether you program the car to charge at a certain time or you program the charger to start at a certain time, the charger malfunctions and you get no charge. I have lowered electric rates after midnight but there is no way to take advantage of the discount with this charger. I bought it because it claims that it can, but it fails every time. I have tested it under different settings and contacted customer support but they are no help at all. I returned the unit and paid a $50 restocking fee. Yes, this unit is so bad that I paid $50 to get rid of it
