Review: Great disc - Great disc
Review: works great for my purposes. - Disc arrived thick, heavy, and flat. I used a 1/2 inch bolt and appropriate nuts and washers, mounted a diamond wheel, and was easily able to shape some local mineral slabs into passable cabs by spinning the wheel in a drill press. I have no other experience doing this, except to watch a demo of a guy doing the same thing with a 1300 dollar Cab King at a local mineral show. My set up delivered a pleasing result and I am very happy with it. If you want to play at lapidary without a big investment this is a great purchase. If you do, please use a dust mask and eye protection. Silicosis is no joke and grinding makes a lot more dust than you can see.

## Features

- PRECISION BASE PLATE: Sits on your machine spindle as a flat backing disc for 6" grinding pads, abrasive wheels and backer discs, so grinding papers and pads lie flat during rotation.
- TRUE DIMENSIONS: Measures 6" diameter x 9/32" thick with a 1/2" arbor hole—machined to accurate size so it fits your 6" grinding machine without play or guesswork.
- SOLID ALUMINUM BUILD: Made of 100% aluminum with a plated finish and a rigid, well-machined body that holds up to repeated grinding and polishing sessions.
- SMOOTHED, SAFE EDGES: Sharp edges are softened to help protect your hands and make the plate comfortable to hold while you set it up.
- PLEASE NOTE: This is a machine accessory with no diamond coating, so it cannot grind stone, knives, gems or wood directly. Package includes 1 x 6" aluminum master lap plate.
