Not too impressed
These pens have tiny nibs with permanent ink so are ideal for artisan products which need durability. However in my experience (repeatedly) the nibs dry out in no time at all and the ink stops flowing. I bought this 12 pack thinking my other 2 had simply run dry (even though one was quite new) but lo and behold, after just a few minutes use several of these brand new pens also dried out. I store them out of sunlight, nib down so I can't blame gravity!! I've tried them on paper and card but the flow rate seems poor. Unlike their bigger brother Sharpie's I'm not wholly impressed and am now having to resort to another competing brand which is not good - WHAT is the problem Mr Sharpie?

The best permanent marker
Sharpies are the best permanent marker I've ever used. They last for ages and they aren't too expensive. They write on just about anything and if you get the knib dirty (e.g. writing on a dusty site surface) it cleans up in a moment and is working again. To remove the ink just use meths or similar - it doesn't just wipe off like some other markets I've tried. One word of caution - don't let small children use them. My youngest did some colouring on a cream sofa which is not coming off!

Great smooth flowing marker - dries up quickly though.
These are the best fine point permanent markers that I have tried. I use them for all sorts of things including writing notes and so go through loads of them. The pen does bleed through paper, but I love the smooth flow and the fact that the nib stays in good shape. The only negative is that they dry up quite quickly (and before I would imagine that I've used the ink up). You need to ensure the cap is firmly on and even then they seem to suddenly dry up.I still find them worth it, especially in a big pack like this, since I go through a lot of them.

Marker pens not drawing pens
I bought these to write on plastic labels and as such they work very well. Other people have commented that they bleed through paper _ well yes, they are marker pens and not designed for drawing on paper. They are for writing on smooth, non-porous surfaces. Don't buy these for drawing on paper! They do write quite nicely though if you don't mind the bleed through.

Not a fine point
They are far from a fine point I used to buy sharpie fine point pens all the time and this is not a fine point pen - it’s more like a felt tip pen

Black Magic
These pens are the mainstay of my drawing obsession. They create strong black lines and I also use them for cross hatching and blocking in areas as black. They last well and would be my first choice for taking on a desert island!
