Excellent and practical
This workbook was spot on for a dyslexic child I was teaching. It helps pupils to address common issues they may well have if they have ADD/ADHD in a way that allows them to say what they think and begin to address their problems. As an adult with ADD I felt that it would have been useful to me as a child too.Highly recommended!

I would recommended this book to anyone with a child in need ...
I would recommended this book to anyone with a child in need not just a child with ADHD as I think it would help children who don't have ADHD as well :)

Acceptable book
This book is best suited for teenagers with adhd. Its primarily exercises or essay type questions that they themselves can work with. Its not very suited for young children with adhd, though it might work if their parents will help them.

Terrific book for my elementary-school-aged kiddo!
My son has been diagnosed with "Severe ADHD", and has had that diagnosis since he was 4 years old. He is now almost 10 years old, and has been in outpatient hospitalization once already. Trying to parent an ADHD kiddo isn't like trying to herd cats, but more like trying to write a Nobel Prize winning essay in Japanese when you only understand English. It's definitely NOT easy, but it is doable when you have the right tools. Medication, therapy, community/academic support, and emotional support for family members are the greatest tools to do just that. I would now add this book to that list. The language is easy, and the activities are fun and engaging. They are designed to be completed in a short amount of time, which is great for those short-attention-span moments. The recommendations are easy for my son to apply to his every day life, and with his therapist, school counselor, and teacher. He has started feeling better about himself as he is not getting into trouble as often, which has led to an increase in his self esteem. Further along that same line, his grades have improved and he is finally making true friends. This workbook has been exactly what we needed!

great book for active space cadets
my eldest (7 years old)does not have ADHD but is bored at school. Because of this he fidgets a lot and spends a lot of time in his own world. Let's say I know understand the inspiration for Calvin and Hobbes. He has completed therapy with a neuropsychologist but 'behaving', especially at school remains a challenge. This book is great in that it adresses many issues he faces : negative self-image, has trouble staying focused, forgets stuff, doesn't think things through, needs to fidget to think....It helps us, as parents, to see other approaches and has helped him to take a more active role and become more cooperative. The book is addressed at older kids (about 9 and up) and some stuff isn't relevant, (we have no television and he has no access to video games) but I'd recommend it for any parent with a kid who isn't school-friendly regardless of whether he/she has ADHD or not.

Excellent workbook for children and therapists/parents.
I have used this workbook several times in my counseling practice and most of the time, children have learned from it and enjoyed it overall. I always have my own copy on hand so that I can work with a child concurrently on a page or two. Overall, it has been a very helpful workbook and not shamed children for having to live with a difficult issue.
