Tekton 3/8 inch drive flex head ratchets have a 90-tooth gear that produces a working swing arc of 4 degrees. The single half-moon pawl maintains 9 teeth engaged with the gear at all times, ensuring that it won't slip or skip under stress. The flex head moves 180-degrees, snapping into 9 different detent angles. The classic non-quick-release drive tang retains sockets with a spring-actuated detent ball—push the sockets onto the ratchet and pull to remove them. The soft overmold grip and rounded oval shape of the comfort grip handle support your palm and fingers. Unlike conventional "low profile" designs that focus on controlling only the thickness of the head, we reduced the size in every dimension: length, width, and height. Tekton ratchets meet (and most far exceed) the industry standard for proof torque, a measure of strength verified by a single-cycle test that applies torque until the specified value is reached without failure or any permanent deformation. Value and quality
Amazing ratchet! Meets every need for a home mechanic. I find the flex head detent is very useful when working in tight access spaces. Love the soft grip.

Love this ratchet
Did I need the ratchet? No I did not. I probably already have 30 ratchets in my drawers. Lol I am a huge Tekton fan though, I have a ton of their tools, all of my chrome and impact sockets are Tekton, a bunch of their wrench sets, etc. I now have the 1/2 and 3/8 flex head ratchets … They are really nice, backdrag is great. TEKTON makes great ratchets.
Much like the 3/8 ratchet, I love the grip on the handle. The rubber grip is the best I have used. The ratchet itself is very well made, from the ratcheting mechanism to the sturdiness from head to handle.

Prefer This Over My GW Ratchet
Outstanding ratchet. Fit and finish are great. Amazing value. Functions smoothly. The grip fits well in the hand unlike the Gearwrench locking ratchet that I just Got in today along with it that has such a small grip. I mean seriously why would GW make such a tiny thin grip? With that said This item is fantastic!

Solid ratchets.
I have tried a few mid tier ratchets and the Tekton line up is hands down the most consistent when it comes to quality. Other companies seem hit or miss between different drive sizes and styles. Tekton just works every time.

Great tool for a great price.
Great ratchet for the price. I've been using it work daily. I work primarily on medium duty trucks and this ratchet can hang with MAC and Snap On as far as build quality. In my personal opinion the Tekton has a better comfort grip handle than anyone. That's absolutely subjective but it fits my hand perfectly.

Comfortable, long reach, Tekton have a great warranty... I have other tools from them that were no issue getting replacements

Too much play.
Returning this ratchet, as there is excess slop between the head and shaft and also play in the anvil too. I really wanted to like this, but the quality isn't there. I have Icon from harbour freight 3/8 flex ratchet and it's amazing compared to this. Think I will be buying the gearwrench one to try.

Defective
Received a defective item, ratchet doesn't ratchet 🙂 just spins and I can hear the metal clunks inside.... you'd think when they have that amazon inspected sticker on them it'd be good but no. Now I gotta go through returning this item wait for the refund then again buy another one all while my car's jacked up and waiting. Thanks Tekton and Thank You Amazon.
