Excellent thermal paste that noticeably lowered temperatures
This thermal paste worked extremely well for repasting my laptop. Temperatures dropped noticeably almost immediately after applying it, and the fans don’t ramp up nearly as aggressively anymore under load. The laptop simply runs cooler and quieter overall now.Performance-wise, this paste definitely lives up to the reputation ARCTIC products have built over the years. It transfers heat very effectively and seems especially good for laptops, consoles, GPUs, and other devices where temperatures can get pretty high in compact spaces. The included cleaning wipes were also surprisingly useful. They did an excellent job removing the old dried thermal paste without needing much scrubbing. The wipes do have a pretty strong chemical smell though, so using them in a ventilated area is definitely a good idea. One thing worth mentioning is the consistency. MX-6 is thicker than a lot of older thermal pastes, so it’s not the easiest paste to manually spread with a card or spatula. Using a pea or X-pattern application works much better because the pressure from the cooler spreads it evenly on its own. Once compressed, coverage is excellent. The 4g tube also goes farther than expected. Even after repasting a laptop, there’s still plenty left for future applications on CPUs, GPUs, or consoles, so the value for money is very good.Another big plus is that it’s non-conductive, which makes the application process less stressful since there’s much lower risk if a little extra paste spreads near components.Overall, this is an excellent thermal paste with strong cooling performance, long durability, good value, effective cleaning wipes, and noticeably lower temperatures and fan noise after installation. Definitely a worthwhile upgrade for older laptops, gaming consoles, or desktop PCs running hot.

Works Great and Easy to Use
Works really well and was easy to apply. I used it when installing my CPU and everything worked perfectly. The included MX Cleaner wipes were also very convenient for removing the old thermal paste. Good quality and a useful little kit for a CPU upgrade. 👍

Impressed
Glad that I chose to ignore the negative reviews and got myself a tube of this. Had to change a dead fan on my GPU and knew that I would need to repaste the die. Temps improved significantly and keep my GPU under 70C. Can be tough to apply so I recommend using a spatula.

Q&E for either new install or a paste freshen-up
Sorry for the TL?DR review here. You've been warned lol.The MX-6 package came with a six pack of "cleaner" packets in foil which OBVIOUSLY weren't your usual alcohol wipes. They were kind of oily "-ish" actually. And with a kind of mechanic sort of odor. (I liked it... I work on cars and such at times lol... but my wife didn't like the odor at all. Just sayin'.)Anyways. The MX6's were because I moved my AM4 based workstation "sideways" from an 5800X to a 5800X3D (at some point in the not too near future, I'll be doing an AM6 build - I'm skipping AM5, primarily because my AM4 rebuilds over the years - since 2016, when I started with a 2700/16GB/256GB build... to the final 5800X3D/128GB/2x2TB build - have kept up with my work needs). The rest of this review hasn't much to do with the MX-6's, and is self-justification for "having to" re-paste lol.I also upgraded from a 240mm liquid cooler (replaced 2x over the years, as I tend to replace liquid coolers every 2-3 years as maintenance items, simply to entirely avoid their usual issues) to a 280mm cooler (from BeQuiet: easily the best cooler I've used over the years btw... lowest CPU temps in particular since the Ryzen 2700). I'm seeing sub-30C temps at idle to maybe 60C during full-on gaming sessions, with the Bequiet (down from system black-screen restarts at around presumed 80-90C on the 240mm... sorry, wasn't keeping close track... was simply annoyed when it occasionally happened, sigh).Note: I've also upgraded GPU's over the years too; current is a 6800XT... the original was an RX580... then a 1660 Super... I doubt it would be worth upgrading an AM4 to anything newer....arriving at what for me is a quite capable [read: overbuilt] pure gaming PC that (given my relatively low level of gaming lol) will do me for many years to come. I'll keep this to-the-purpose box for gaming when I move on to AM6 (or whatever Intel is doing by then... who knows lol).

The REAL DEAL
Works very well and met my expectations. I needed it for an older Cisco Switch that is fanless. I needed to redo the paste. The cleaning solution works fantastic, BUT keep IN MIND, it is fairly strong smell. Does a fantastic job though. If you need to depend on something, this is the solution. I have been in IT / IS since the early 8086-2 days.

Good, but MX-4 is still a much better value. Wipes are great!
I was previously using MX-4 with a Hyper 212 Black Edition cooler on a Ryzen 7 5800X. I decided to give this a try.The new paste is slightly yet noticeably better. On Cinebench R23, I was able to get slightly higher multi-core clock speeds and 1-2 C lower temperatures after applying the MX-6. The temperatures might look like a bit on the high side, but keep in mind this is a more extreme scenario in which I'm deliberately pushing the thermal capacity of my cooler to its limits so that any temperature differences became more apparent. I usually run my 5800X undervolted and with PBO limits set to 125W PPT, 80A TDC, and 120A EDC as opposed to the stock 105W TDP preset (142W PPT, 95A TDC, 140A EDC) used for this testing scenario, so it'll usually run significantly cooler.Despite this, however, for most users, I would still recommend the MX-4 thermal paste. Why? Because while this is good thermal paste, it's not nearly 2x better; the MX-4 is almost half the price of this, at $4.99 vs $9.79 as of this writing. In addition, MX-4 is much easier to spread over the CPU IHS due to its lower viscosity and the spatula that is included with it. However, the thermal differences might become greater on more heavily overclocked CPUs, at which point the MX-6 would likely be worth it.I'd like to finish off this review by addressing the cleaning wipes that came with the MX-6. They're great! For one, they're really good at cleaning off old thermal paste and gunk off the CPU and cooler. Moreover, contrary to what other reviews suggested, they actually smelled pretty good; a lemon-like clean scent, like one you'd find in some kitchen countertop cleaning agents. You'll do fine with 99% isopropyl alcohol and paper towers or a microfiber cloth though.

Does the job and seems to run cooler
Bought this after I found out I needed to remove the heat sync on a laptop to replace a power port on my daughters HP Omen 16 laptop. Pulled the heat sync and fans off of to realize the original compund was old and crusty. My old Goto Arctic MX-5 silver also dried up in the bag after multiple years, so I had to order this latest paste. This package is good for a quick application, the MX cleaner cleaned the surfaces of the heat sync, GPU and CPU to allow good heat transfer from the chips to the heat sync. The paste was easy to use and spread smooth and even across the chips. (I chose to use the spread method over the drop method). The laptop used to run the fan much more frequently when my daughter plays games, it seems to have reduced the overall temperatures, from reduced frequency of the fans running. I didn't have any utilities installed to measure before and after, but the repair was successful and the laptop works better than it originaly did, so I think it is a win.
