Timex Standard High Quality....but, Oh well. The new one I bought, the Indiglo went out in 60 days.
The Quality was exactly the standard that timex set for the most affordable, most durable, most useful, most attractive watches in the industry. I've owned this one since 2022. I have to say it's all of the above WITH ONE EXCEPTION: The Indiglo never worked from the moment I took it out of the box. I didn't think anything of it. I thought it was another diluted standard brought on by the corporate enshitification so pominent in the world today. I WAS WRONG! For under 35$, who cares? It's 2025 and I'm buying another one. I put this thing through hell. I work on Industrial Refrigeration and Mechanical Infrastructure. I'm rough on everything I own and my hands and arms are exposed to 130 degree F Condesner relief temps regularly, 170 degree F Asphalt Equipment Pads (on which I stand for hours in the direct sunlight) in 115 degree F Ambient air temps all while keeping track of timing of sequences of operations, using My Timex as my number-one tool for keeping track of that kinda stuff. Diagnosis would not happen without it. Accuracy: Hmm. a little behind the iphone weekly or monthly; loses about 5 minutes a month? maybe less. Either way, when I was trying to set it to the current time the other day, I pulled the crown right out of the watch to try and set the time. I put it back in and committed to purchasing another one. The crown is still in there, the watch still is keeping time (more slowly) and I just can't update the time it has lost. So in a month or so from now, it will be too far behind the actual time to be useful for me. Very well worth the cost! UPDATE: two months after purchasing the new watch, the indiglo stopped working when I needed in my sleep last night. I have contacted timex. I'll update this review once I get a robo-response from them.

A Good Functioning Cheap Watch
I’ve worn this watch for 5 days now and I like it. I use it as an everyday work watch and I haven’t had any problems with it. It has a functioning date indicator on it and has a toggle glow in the dark function. The numbers are very readable and I don’t have to squint to read the time. It fits perfectly fine and you can adjust it to the size of your wrist. It’s 40mm in diameter so it’s a decent size. I like the size for what it is because I don’t like anything below 40mm. The watch is a little thick which is good because it can take some scrapes and scuffs here and there and still work fine. Lastly, I don’t know why so many people are complaining about the noise level of the ticking. It’s almost unnoticeable unless you really put your ear to it to hear it. Unless you’re audibly looking for it (or place it by your ears) you’re not going to really hear it in my opinion. Overall I think it’s a great watch for the price and for what I was looking for. It’s not something to be fancy or stylish; just functional and simple. It’s a cheap watch that doesn’t necessarily feel too cheap to wear. Thankfully it hasn’t broken on me or stopped working randomly on me or anything like that and even after I’ve set it I barely have to go back and adjust the time. It will sometimes get off by a few seconds after some days but that’s not an issue for me and is an easy fix.

Loud but affordable
Very simple and elegant watch. Does its job and nothing more. I've used it for dress and for work, law enforcement, with no issue. The only reasons its not getting 5 stars: the strap is mediocre at best and it is VERY loud. The strap has two bands that contain the excess and they seem to barely be able to do their job. The last one wore out very quickly and barely holds onto the strap now after 6 months. As for the noise, I can hear the watch ticking from across the room. Sleeping with it on is very sub optimal. Overall, for the price it is an excellent watch and you are getting what you pay for.

Good All-Around Watch. Buy It.
This is the best inexpensive all around watch. Plus it looks pretty cool. Just a basic analog watch with a light. The band is good brown leather and holding up well.

Love the Timex Expeditions.
I have always worn Timex Expedition watches and have had to get new ones from time to time but will always recommend them as a good classic watch for any occasion. The only complaints i ever have with these is the difficulty to get the back reattached once you take it apart to change the battery. I have always loved the glowing function of it and the ability to read it at night. Didn't know how i felt about the velcro band, but it will stick around for now as it works well and is easy to remove.

Great watch for the money
Damn good watch for the money folks. Bought it about a year and a half ago and it's been flawless. Starting to get wear and tear but that's to be expected as I wear it every day. I'll be getting another one in a year or more when this one is ready to be replaced. 3 years wear for a $43 watch that looks good and gets compliments is exceptional.

Clear numbers. Lightweight. Small strap
Purchased this watch as a simple daily inexpensive watch. I work at a lumber yard so being rugged was a must. The face is a little small for my big arms but it’s light weight and felt great. I wasn’t a big fan of the original strap so I upgraded to the one in the pictures. Made a world of a difference with the feel and comfort level. I would recommend this watch as a quality, daily watch. Maybe just replace the strap.

Great looks, durable, good price
Love this watch. The face of it is so easy to read even in low light. The simple classic design looks great. Water isnt an issue or hasn't been yet anyways. Has been submerged and been fine. Already a few oil and grease stains on the band from working on my tractors but that is too be expected with my lifestyle. It adds "character". The date and time are super easy to set and theres no steps to go through that'll surely be forgotten twice a year for dst. The backlight is excellent. Just how I remember one of my dad's Timex watches being back in the mid 90s. My only complaint, and its a slight one, is I wish the crown was on the left od slightly recessed. I wear my watch on my left hand and the crown digs in a bit if you are doing chores or working with it on. Not a deal breaker as most watches seem to have the crown on the right. I love this watch.
