FLIR One EDGE PRO is excellent. It's now the third FLIR model in my professional tool lineup.
I already owned a FLIR B20 and a FLIR One Pro LT. As a consulting broadcast engineer, I love both of those cameras, but I wanted something on the wireless, "untethered" side to use with my phone or tablet at transmitter, studio, and other sites. The fact that the One Edge Pro has both four times the IR pixels (IR resolution) and longer operating time per battery charge compared to my trusty FLIR One Pro LT made it sound like the perfect solution. FLIR scored another "win" in my book with this new camera. Out of the box, about 20 minutes of charging time before it was back to full charge since leaving the factory, and a quick read of a couple of sentences in the "Getting Started" booklet, and I quickly had it wirelessly connected to the Flir One app which was already installed in my phone. My FLIR One Android app had recently updated automatically, which added the a start screen app choice of connecting to a FLIR One Edge Pro or the One Pro or LT, so a single Android APP facilitates both of those cameras. Sweet. I'm very pleased with the resolution, and the alignment menu option provides for quick and easy alignment of the IR and Digital Camera images, which means the MSX feature (and other image viewing/processing features such as "thermal blending" and "Picture-In-Picture" tools found in the Flir Tools app will line up nicely as well, provided you spend a few seconds using that alignment feature before shooting your thermal image. I've ready many user/purchaser reviews of FLIR (and other brand/model) infrared imaging/thermography cameras where people complain about inaccuracies in the temperatures being sensed compared to actual measured temperatures, etc.. In my experience, that's usually due to lack of awareness of the properties and some nuances of thermography. For folks interested in getting the most temperature sensing accuracy possible, developing an understanding of things such as emissivity, reflectivity, reflected temperature, etc., along with having a few inexpensive accessories at hand (such as black, vinyl electrical tape, and a homemade Lambert radiator/reflector made of a piece of aluminum foil and a piece of cardboard) will go a long way to improving the results achieved and the ability to glean really useful data from the IR images -- not to mention overall satisfaction with the device, assuming they've acquired at least a reasonably decent quality IR camera. As a broadcast engineer, the quality of my work depends a lot on having the right tools. I can see already that my FLIR One Edge Pro is going to see a LOT of use while being relatively easy to use. Combined with FLIR's free Flir Tools software, the new FLIR One Edge PRO adds even more accurate, higher resolution preventive maintenance and troubleshooting power at my disposal, and does so at a price that's very reasonable for what you end up with in your hands. I strongly recommend this camera, unless your demands are such that you just have to spend a few $K on something really super high end. Even though I have an even higher resolution FLIR B20, I rarely pull that big Pelican case and camera out to use it, as the FLIR One PRO LT almost always handled the job. Now that I have the new FLIR One Edge Pro, I'll probably have to remind myself to occasionally pull the One Pro LT out and charge it for those times when I might want it to be at the ready as well.

Camera, GREAT! Application, FAIL!
The camera itself is great, works as it should, does everything it should. If you are looking for a Bluetooth IR, temperature recording camera, this should be it. I love the fact that within the app you can change color types, variations, and even have a “normal” looking photo within the same picture of the temperature reading photo. Sounds confusing yes, I know, essentially think of each picture having a filter over it that can be removed when seeing the pic within the app. The app itself is not good if you are using an iPad/tablet of any sort, the FLIR shows vertical while having the iPad/tablet horizontal (I left one pic in the orientation as shown on tablets/iPad and the others I turned correctly), just a bunch of things that can, should, and NEEDS fixed ASAP. Very disappointed in FLIR for not having this fixed. The app was designed to work for a phone, which boggles my mind really. One other item I don’t like is the camera uses a WIFI signal from the camera to connect to a device, which means if you are using WIFI on your device, it will disconnect you and you will have no WIFI based internet (WIFI is a stable way to transfer/broadcast image to a device). If you are needing a temperature capturing camera, get this one, and wait until they roll out the updates for tablets (At least I hope they are updating it), if you are using it on a phone, works great.

A great tool for finding drafts and other large leaks in your home during cold winter days
A very handy device for tracking down drafts and cold spots in your home for crack sealing in the cold New England winters. This device helped me find small cracks in the corners of sheet rock walls that were making our den cool. Also found problems along the floor boards, below windows, and in the basement behind some insulation where the corner wasn't sealed properly. the house is now much warmer. Thankyou FLIR.

Does not work - getting started and user manuals not helpful
I've been a user of a FLIR for many years. Now I looked for a more recent model to work with my iOS devices. Based on info available I was directed to order the FLIR ONE EDGE PRO. What an unintuitive setup! Not only that I can't seem to get the app to run. I fully charged the device. I download the app. I also downloaded the getting started and User manual. Just a piece of advice to FLIR -- dont make us have to download the user guide -- provide it with the product! Going through the steps to set this up was repeatedly unsuccessful. I finally managed to get it working. Disappointed to find that the connection is via local Wifi provided by the Flir unit, and in connecting via Flir wifi the iPad loses its connection with the home wifi. It would have been better to connect via the USB connector in this case. Also, the Flir WiFi is very flaky and often disconnects. Also, the performance of the Flir unit, and the Flir Wifi is very slow, with significant lag most of the time, and it often just stops updating the image, I had better performance sing the original Flir via lightning on an iPhone 6 than I am getting with this most current Flir product with the iPad Pro!!! Flir -- I expected better from you. This is nothing like the original FLIR for the iPhone. Also, the app keeps referring to for use with iPhone, but I'm trying to use it with my iPad Pro (USB). I don't see any reason why USB iPhones and iPads have to use this expensive brick given the product does not attach to USB! Crazy. It needs to connect over WiFi! Exactly where that is mentioned before you buy, I dont know, I missed that. But still it doesn't connect very easily or retain connection very long. Moving where you point the Flir at is often the impetus for things to stop working. Perhaps the Flir unit just doesn't have the power to provide sufficient performance. So far this has been a waste of $500+

Good for the whole family!
Want to know if someone has been in the candy jar, or which glass of water is fresh, or exactly how hot your wife is? This may be the camera for you! Oh, and given a tempature delta, it can find hot water pipes, studs, damp spots, hot wires and junctions, missing insulation, air gaps around doors, and more. This thermal camera is a great tool, and toy. IOS / Android Support: It seems to pair slightly better on an IPhone than an Android. It can take a few restarts of the camera and app to link on Android, but at other times it works fine. [Update: This seems to work fine on Android after switching for Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 to Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra] Size and Durability: It fits nicely into a jacket pocket or work bag, but may be a little bulky for Jeans. The finish is a polymer / rubber that is soft enough to absorb impacts but tough enough to stand up to use. It may still break if dropped. The design is very streamline and feels good to use. Image Quality: The camera has enough resolution to capture a whole electrical panel or 8' tall wall section. It will place focused tempature points (highest and lowest) on the image in real time. After taking a photo you can use the app to measure the temperature at any point later. This makes it easy enough to capture a wide area and grab the needed information after the fact.

Overpriced considering the lacking quality
The issues I had were both the original and a replacement I received. The alignment of the thermal camera and the traditional camera is really bad, and only if you max out the 'alignment' setting can you get it to be close (but still not exactly aligned). Both cameras came with weird residues on them... some kind of dust, and one of them had odd circle imprints on them. Both had the stickers intact so probably not an Amazon returned item issue. The app itself is okay. It's pretty slow to connect and the latency is 'usable' but nothing more. It re-calibrates constantly which would be fine if it didn't halt the data coming to your phone. I'd expect these at maybe $150-200 but not at $400-500. On the plus sides, battery life seemed passable, and the tension fastening system was good too. It doesn't feel cheap to hold, and the external material is fairly grippy and not slippery.

Infrared Camera for the phone, wireless see the hotspots
This camera is great for finding hot and cold spots. It has been a great tool for us. We deal with heaters for different industrial applications. Previously, we would use wireless thermometers, which can take spot measurements only. We would have to spot a long time to scan the equipment. Even then, we would still miss cold spots. This is a repeat purchase. The first one we bought already paid for itself during the first field service trip with it. We were immediately able to identify the issue for the project. It cut the time onsite supporting the customer down to an hour instead of all day. Would definitely recommend to anyone that works with heat or cold devices. NOTE: you need to change the temperature range on the phone to go to the max range. The only draw back is that there is no PC software.

Afrader.
